Biography

Sohm Kapila was born in India, raised in Nottingham, trained in London (Italia Conti) with a BA Hons in Meisner Acting and now living in Los Angeles with her East Midland roots at heart. She has been accepted as a BAFTA Connect member (class of 2023/24 for emerging talent in the US). Before arriving to LA, Sohm had done over 25 stage productions, including international tours and the award winning Bend it Like Beckham the Musical on the Westend, and roles in various BBC/ITV shows like Waking the Dead, Coronation Street, Paradox. Over the past five years in the US her work has spanned film, TV, theatre, animation, radio, gaming and V.O. Sohm has starred in projects for Warner Bros, Apple TV, FOX, CBS, CW, Universal, NBC, Pathé, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, ATG, BBC1, ITV and BBC Worldwide. Sohm has also written, directed and produced her own work with her film 'The Problem with Kaldeep' out now on Amazon Prime and her short Ashes on the Highway on the festival circuit.
