Biography

The daughter of a Bournemoth soldier and a homemaker, Lady Sarah Bradford attended Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, 1956-59. She is a writer, a manuscript expert (Christies: 1974-80, Sotheby's: 1980-82, Times Literary Supplement: 1982-85) and a former member of the London Library committee (1985-87). In 1990 she received limited access to the Royal Archives and the royal household from Queen Elizabeth II, which resulted in Bradford's unauthorized biography of the monarch.
