Rory Edgar is a Canadian-born film and television actor, as well as a model, who was introduced to the industry at an early age. With over 35 productions to his credit, Rory has taken on a wide range of roles, including Principal speaking, Featured, Stand-In, Hero, Body Double, SOC, and Background. His on-screen experience spans commercials, feature films, television, print, and web projects.
Rory's acting journey began as a background performer, but through dedication and skill development, he quickly secured principal and lead speaking roles. He has represented major global brands such as Samsung, Hertz, BP, and Toyota in various acting and modeling assignments. As a professional model early in his career, Rory walked fashion runways and appeared on billboards and advertisements worldwide. His commanding presence has led to roles portraying business professionals, CEOs, high-ranking officers, and lawyers. However, having grown up near the Canadian Rocky Mountains, he is equally at home in cowboy boots and a hat, making him a natural fit for western roles.
Before transitioning to acting full-time, Rory had a successful 25-year career as a Professional Project Manager and Director in Business Development within the oil & gas and telecommunications industries.
His passion for performance began early, earning Honors Student recognition in Dramatic Arts for three consecutive years in school. Holding dual citizenship in Canada and the United Kingdom, Rory brings versatility to his craft, excelling in diverse roles, accents, and dynamic environments. His professionalism and adaptability make him an asset on any set. He is also a proud member of ACTRA.
When not on set, Rory enjoys spending time with his family, traveling to the UK for new roles, and indulging his passion for motorcycles and exotic cars. His restored collector vehicles have even been featured in TV productions.
