A Florida jury decided the fate of Eric Rivera, deliberating over 4 days. They finally convicted him of second-degree murder and armed burglary for the 2007 home invasion and death of Washington Redskins player Sean Taylor.

Eric Rivera Convicted Of Second-Degree Murder

Eric was convicted of second-degree murder for killing the NFL player with a gunshot wound during a home invasion.

He originally confessed to police that he was the one that shot Taylor, since a group of four men burglarized Sean’s home. Once Eric took the witness stand, though, he said investigators made him confess to the murder and stated that one of the other burglars shot Sean.

Eric is just one of the four men charged with murder and burglary.

There was drama both on and off the field during last night’s NFL Sunday Night Football (5.7/14) Week 9 game. Houston Texans head couch Gary Kubiak had to be taken to a hospital after collapsing during halftime.
