Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr., popularly known as NTR Jr., is an Indian actor who works in Telugu cinema. He is one of the highest-paid and highest-grossing actors in Indian cinema. He is the grandson of Indian matinee idol and politician N.T. Rama Rao. His family hails from Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh and he was born in Hyderabad, India. A prominent Pan-India star, he is widely regarded as one of the finest actors, known for his versatility and ability to deliver lengthy monologues in multiple languages and dialects. A trained Kuchipudi dancer, he has performed on both national and international platforms and is celebrated as one of the finest dancers in Indian cinema, renowned for flawlessly executing complex choreography in a single take.
He made his debut as a child artist in the National Award-winning film Ramayanam (1996) . He later achieved his breakthrough with Student No: 1 (2001) and the action drama Aadi (2002). He is the youngest actor to deliver an industry hit in Telugu cinema with Simhadri (2003). Over the years, he has received numerous national and international accolades for his performances.
