Quotes

  • Embarrassing moments? I can't remember many... Back in 2004, my agent put me forward for a number of roles in Goal! convinced that I would have a good chance to be considered for one of them. Goal! Trilogy has been produced and filmed largely in England, and there aren't that many true Mexican actors based down here. So imagine how I felt, when my agent told me that I wasn't called for an audition because the English casting director thought that I didn't look Mexican. Since the first part of Goal! was released last year, I have been mistaken for Kuno Becker several times. Well, make up your mind, Lucinda
  • "Paparazzi are not camping outside my house quite yet. I have been around a few years; it's just that people didn't notice me before as much, I guess. I am from a family with no industry connections back at home or telenovela experience, like Gael or Kuno, so it would be a real challenge to learn to deal with the media on daily basis. But through the years I have developed a thick skin. I haven't changed at all as a person, but I have gained experience, confidence and self believe. I was one of those kids who were put down by school bullies and were told they would never make it. Like everyone in the industry, I had some setbacks, but many good things are happening in my life now and I feel I'm fortunate to be working. One of my acting teachers once said that rejection is God's protection. There's something in it.
