Gary LeVox’s Thoughts On Morgan Wallen’s Lack Of Awards
Image
Rascal Flatts frontman Gary LeVox recently weighed in on a controversial Morgan Wallen situation. It’s challenging to find a country musician with more star power right now than Morgan Wallen. The singer-songwriter sold out nearly every football stadium he performed at this summer, while also walking out with some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment.

However, all of the clout doesn’t automatically amount to awards. After winning the Country Music Award for Best New Artist in 2020, the music sensation hasn’t won a single award since. While there are plenty of other great country music stars, it certainly is strange that Wallen hasn’t won a single award since then.

Rascal Flatts lead singer Gary LeVox recently appeared on the Try That In A Small Town podcast to talk about why he thinks Wallen hasn’t won any hardware recently.

Rascal Flatts still have tons of devoted fans despite breaking up in 2021. The popular country trio recently sparked reunion rumors. Keep reading to find out what’s going on.

Rascal Flatts Spark Reunion Rumors

Rascal Flatts dominated country music in the early 2000s. The trio of Gary LeVox, Jay Demarcus and Joe Don Rooney released their first album in 2000. They saw major success with their second album released in 2002. Melt had four top-ten singles, including the number-one hit songs “These Days,” and “Mayberry.”

The band was named Vocal Group of the Year at the CMAs every year from 2003 until 2008.

Fans were shocked in 2020 when Rascal Flatts announced they were disbanding after one last tour. But the tour never happened because of the Covid pandemic. The band officially announced in 2021 that they weren’t rescheduling the tour and were officially done after Joe Don Rooney unexpectedly quit the band.

Jason Isbell revs up Johnny Cash’s trucker anthem “All I Do Is Drive” for the soundtrack to the new Netflix film The Ice Road. Both film and soundtrack are out now.

It’s an ominous, brooding bluegrass number based around guitar, mandolin, and sawed fiddle. But it’s the guest spot by the enigmatic rapper Rmr that puts it over the top.

“You’re the reason I’ve been going psycho/it’s too ugly still can’t keep my eyes close,” Rmr sing-raps to begin his verse. By the end, he’s lamenting a double-cross. “I’m the one with...

Rascal Flatts deliver a pre-Christmas surprise for fans in the form of a new Ep available today. Titled Jukebox, the four-song release re-imagines some of the trio’s favorite songs, originally performed by classic pop-rock acts Foreigner, Hall & Oates, Kenny Loggins, and Huey Lewis and the News.

Inspired by a segment of the group’s live show, in which they perform personal favorites, Jukebox highlights the award-winning group’s harmonies on Foreigner’s 1977 hit “Feels Like the First Time”; the upbeat 1980 staple “You Make My Dreams” from Hall & Oates; and Kenny Loggins’ “Heart to Heart,...

They sang an emotional rendition of Montgomery Gentry's 2002 hit, "My Town." As the cameras panned to the crowd, Gentry's widow, Angie Gentry, and their 15-year-old daughter, Kaylee Gentry, wept. Other country music stars were seen wiping away...

How cool would that be? It’s one of my favorite things to dream about.

The American country trio sat down with People Now to narrow down their favorites and revealed which songs they never get sick of playing at their concerts.

For lead vocalist Gary Levox, 46, it’s the touching hit “My Wish.”

“I never get sick of playing that one,” explains Levox. “That was a big part of a lot of people’s lives, so that one’s always good.

Gary LeVox and Rascal Flatts
The men of Rascal Flatts sat down with People Now to recall some of their craziest fan experiences—and let’s just say they always forgive, but never forget.

“We’ve all been yanked offstage at some point, but I remember a couple years ago I was yanked offstage over this little fence and my pants ripped completely out of the crotch and the guitar came up and hit me in the head. I was, like, bleeding,” guitarist Joe Don Rooney says of the embarrassing moment. “I was like, ‘What just happened?’ This girl really just pulled me down into the crowd.

The American country trio sat down with People Now recently to discuss their full-length Christmas album, The Greatest Gift of All.

“It just seemed like the time was right,” says bassist Jay DeMarcus, 45. “We’ve done several other one-offs before, but we’ve never done a whole record, so it felt like the right time to do it.”

The 10-track album puts a country spin on several holiday classics, including “Deck the Halls,” “Joy to the World” and “Silent Night,” which is particularly meaningful because it...

Bar Fights, Skinny Dipping and Hangover Moments with Rascal Flatts
Jay DeMarcus and Rascal Flatts
"I have gone skinny dipping several times - it's fun, you should try it." Sage advice from Jay DeMarcus, one third of country music group Rascal Flatts. Gary Levox, Joe Don Rooney and DeMarcus returned to the Vegas strip this month for their second residency at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel, so we thought it was only appropriate to play a sinful version of "Never Have I Ever" with the guys. We learned about hair extensions, terrible hangovers and the risqué placement of a certain Tweety bird tattoo. Don't miss a beat of country music news, photos and videos!

After the 49th Cma Awards telecast concluded on ABC, the party continued with the network's late-night host Jimmy Kimmel putting a country spin on his popular "Mean Tweets" segment. More than a dozen of the genre's stars proved they're able to laugh (or in Darius Rucker's case, giggle) at themselves even as they read some nasty — and often hilarious — Twitter posts targeting their music, careers and even their looks.

Lead singer Gary LeVox dedicated the band's song "Bless the Broken Road" to the couple, after which Dakota got down on one knee and proposed.

LeVox tells the cheering crowd in the video, "She said yes!"

Why Rascal Flatts Are Vowing No 'Monkey' Business in Their New Vegas Show
Gary LeVox and Rascal Flatts
When Jay DeMarcus, Joe Don Rooney and Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts started planning the new stage show for their nine-day residency at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, they looked for inspiration in some unexpected places. "We love Penn & Teller," DeMarcus told People of emulating acts who've had long-term success in Sin City. "We might add some illusion. We might also borrow some stuff from Carrot Top. We've been in talks with the Cirque du Soleil producers, so expect skimpy costumes, acrobats and a trapeze. Maybe even a Blue Man Group thing if we can find tights that fit.

The members of Rascal Flatts know how to put on a good show, but the tables were turned on them Wednesday when they ended up in the audience of a show that left them spellbound.
