Scott Dugdale is an Emmy Award winning composer whose work can be heard in several films, TV shows and over 25 video game titles, including the phenomenal Guitar Hero series and Rock Band. Scott works as a composer and sound designer at Meta (formerly Facebook), and was formerly the in-house composer at Wavegroup, working in sound design, custom compositions, and as music producer. Scott produced and co-wrote the debut album of Becca Neun, who's incredible vocals can also be heard in Guitar Hero, Tap Tap Revenge and other game soundtracks.

Scott was born into a musical family, his Mom and Dad having met in their high school band. His father Donald played jazz clarinet and saxophone in many community bands, swinging big bands, and Dixieland jazz bands, and both he and his mother, Noraleen, played in symphony orchestras. Music was always around the house and Scott began piano lessons at age 7 and drum / percussion instruction at age 8. Scott played his first professional gig at age 10 with dad, and has been performing / composing ever since. His sister, Lori, continued the tradition, playing piano, flute. bass and guitar and studying classical ballet, jazz and tap dancing for 14 years.

At age 14, Scott began playing drums with 'The Music Company', which included Steve Williams on keyboards, Richard Campbell (Natalie Cole, Edgar Winter, Three Dog Night, America) on bass and vocals, and Glynnis Talken (Author, Voice Over artist, The Pin-Ups) on lead vocals and synthesizer (the SH-1000!). The group played all over northern CA. and was a popular group with a wide variety of songs. Next was the trio 'Mysticspectre', and shortly after, 'Leo Swift'. 'Leo Swift' rapidly became a top live act in northern California, over the years building a huge following and traveling club and concert circuits throughout all of California, Reno, Tahoe and Las Vegas, Hawaii, Alaska, Washington, Guam and Japan. Their song 'Dream West' was a popular radio request song, and 'Leo Swift' went on to open for 80s acts, Toto, Translator, Tommy Tutone, Greg Kihn, Dave Mason, The Bangles, Howard Jones, Steel Breeze, Tiffany, Triumph, plus many more, and also headlined in their own right.

The 90s brought Scott to settle in Hawaii, performing with 'The Beat Poets', who quickly established themselves as the areas premiere band. 'The Beat Poets', using a combination of live percussion, on-stage sequencing and unique instrumental line up (Dan Cruces on electronic drums, Randy Wheeler on saxophones, acoustic guitar and samplers, and Andre Barboza (Esperanza) on guitars) brought a new power to the cover songs they performed, and headlined many shows at dance clubs and concerts, including opening for Prince at a club in Honolulu.

Scott co-founded and toured with the band 'Planetjane' and performed in Japan, Kwajelein, Chuuk, Guam, Okinawa, Korea and Micronesia in 2003, and at this time began working on soundtrack based projects in his own project studio in Honolulu. He composed and scored several education series for television, and long distance learning, including shows for PBS, The TravelChannel, and Annenberg / CPB. Scott also composed the opening theme for the critically acclaimed live concert series 'Sierra Center Stage'. At this point, Scott knew that he wanted to take his music in the direction of scoring music for film and games.

2004 brought Scott back to California and the Bay Area at Will Littlejohn's request. Will, the President and CEO of WaveGroup, and Scott's band-mate from the 'Leo Swift' days, had a little project called Karaoke Revolution, and wanted to tap Scott's musical and programming expertise for the music re-creations in the game. Karaoke Revolution was a huge hit, was named TIME magazine's 'Game Of The Year', and it's success spawned 5 sequels, Vol.2, Vol 3, Party, CMT's Country Edition, and the newly released 'Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol'. Scott also played keyboards, drums and programming for the groundbreaking smash 'Guitar Hero' and the mega-hit sequel, 'Guitar Hero II'. Scott also has performed or written music for various Dance Dance Revolution versions, including the original songs, 'Stompin' At The Gotham', and 'Bongo!'. In 2004, Scott also composed the score for the motion picture 'Graves End' which debuted at the Santa Cruz Film Festival. He composed the orchestral score for the Konami video game title 'Online Chess Kingdoms' and along with Nick Gallant, wrote the musical soundtrack for the PSP video game 'Brooktown Senior High', also from Konami. Scott's more recent projects include scores for games from Disney Interactive, including ' Alice In Wonderland", "Pirates of the Caribbean" and 'Tron:/Runr".
