German-based producer Reza Bahar produced hits such as "Asphalt Burning", which was a no. 1 box office hit 2020 in Norway and sold to Netflix worldwide, "À propos de Joan" (2021 Berlin Film Festival Special Gala) starring Isabelle Huppert, "The Lionwoman" (2016, opening film in international film festival Haugesund), "La Religiéuse" (2013, international competition Berlin Film Festival) and executive produced "Largo Winch" (2013, Wild Bunch) with Sharon Stone. All films have been sold in at least 80 countries and most of them premiered at an A-list festival.
While studying International Producing at the renewed Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, Reza founded Gifted Films and Gifted Films West. The companies produce high-end films and series to inspire and entertain a broad international audience.
He was selected for two of the most prestigious career acceleration programs in the global film industry: the Inside Pictures Program and the ACE Producers Network. He is also a Berlinale Talents alumnus and a member of both the German and European Film Academies. Reza serves on the jury of the Hessische Filmförderung and has lectured at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and HFF Munich.
