Tom van Kessel

Tom van Kessel (born 1994 in Culemborg) made his debut alongside Carice van Houten (Game of Thrones) in his first film after being discovered in 2005 by director Martin Koolhoven. The film "KNETTER," in which he played one of the leading roles, achieved national and international success. Since then, he has appeared in productions such as "BON VOYAGE," "FLIKKEN MAASTRICHT," and "DORSVLOER VOL CONFETTI," directed by Dutch-Norwegian director Tallulah Hazekamp Schwab. The film premiered at the Film by the Sea Festival in Vlissingen and was showcased at the Berlinale film festival in early 2016. It was nominated for the Glazen Beer for Best Youth Film and received outstanding reviews from The Hollywood Reporter. The film attracted nearly 100,000 viewers to Dutch cinemas. After graduating from acting school, Tom landed various roles in major productions like "DE FRACTIE," "GHOST CORP," and "SUMMER IN ZEELAND." He also portrayed JJ Smit in 255 episodes of the popular TV show "SPANGAS THE CAMPUS" and Fabian de Leeuw in over 75 episodes of the Videoland series "NIEUWE TIJDEN."

He recently played the young Andre Hazes Jr. in the music video "EEN DOODGEWONE MAN," which has garnered over 1 million views. And in 2023, he appeared alongside a range of international actors in the Polish-German European war movie "FILIP," which was released early 2024 worldwide on Netflix. In March 2024, his latest film, "EXPEDITION CUPIDO" will be released worldwide on Amazon Prime. In addition to acting, Tom can be heard as the voice of Holland Casino, Grolsch, Mercedes, and De Giro.
