Aidan Delbis
- Actor
Aidan Delbis' first feature film was Bugonia, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. Aidan stars in the film alongside Emma Stone and Jesse Plemmons. As a young actor on the autism spectrum, Aidan was welcomed as a cast member of The Miracle Project, a fully inclusive theater, film and expressive arts program in Los Angeles. Here, Aidan also honed his skills in sketch comedy and stand up for live audiences. Before graduating in 2024, Aidan performed for three years with his high school drama department, in shows like Dracula and Almost Maine, earning him lifelong membership in the International Thespian Society, while he also lettered in track and field.
Aidan is a huge fan of the horror film genre, with Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream and It among his favorite films. An avid reader, he's read most, if not all, of Stephen King's notable works. He has long admired Vincent Price and Jack Nicholson, and loves to discuss complex characters, like those of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
When asked why he loves acting, Aidan says he is drawn to the challenge of learning how to express a variety of emotions in different ways, like how to get "worked up" for high-intensity scenes or how to convey something as complex as hope. As an actor, he loves the deep-dive preparation it takes to discover a character and bring them to life. As a film fan, he says he doesn't think too much about all the prep work, he just watches and enjoys.
