Kidman Alice

The girl with the curls Alicia Kidman is an Australian actress living and working in Los Angeles, California. Born in Canberra, Australia she spent her formative years in many different parts of the diverse country from Ballina, Mackay, Townsville, Brisbane & Gold Coast all before the age of 21. Alicia was always in love with the Arts. Her mother always recalls having trouble getting Alicia and her sister Rosie to school on time because they would be reading instead of getting ready. From a young child Alicia was fascinated by stories. She recalls vivid memories of sitting in her primary school library with her class listening to her teacher Mrs Bobongie teach the children about indigenous dreamtime stories. Immersed in drama class, choir, all types of dance in and out of school, playing the flute, starring in school plays and as the angel in the Christmas choir performance. When not in school Alicia could be found making home music videos with her best friends, directing, shooting & modelling photoshoots at the beach, writing songs or going to dance classes with Rosie. She has done every type of dance as a child from Tap to Irish Dancing to Hip-Hop to traditional Torres Strait islander dancing. After graduating high school and saving up and getting a scholarship to Stella Adler Academy in Los Angeles, California she said goodbye to her island home and made the move across the ocean. She got straight to studying. Completing a 2 year intensive program at the prestigious academy where she learned one of the most highly regarded acting techniques and got the privilege to explore the minds of greatest playwrights of the 20th century. Now working just as hard in the industry but remaining a student of life Alicia has worked in a numerous number of projects from feature films to theatre productions, music videos, short films, commercials and dance performances.
