Although his film debut as a director, the Super 8 entitled "Adão e Eva: Do Paraíso ao Consumo" is considered lost, a co-director of the film saved some storyboards from the film that were later used on a comic book adaptation many years later. The original film was shown to a couple of friends of Torquato and was released in the early 1970's.

His famous poem "Go Back" was turned into a song by rock group Titãs in the 1980's.
