Vighnesh Dheenadhayalan is an actor, writer, director, and theatre technician based in New York City, originally from Madurai, a culturally rich city in South India. He began his artistic journey in the vibrant theatre scene in Madurai, with a foundation in Bharatanatyam, the classical Indian dance form. He later studied at the Atlantic Acting School in New York City, where he trained in Practical Aesthetics, shaping his approach to emotionally grounded storytelling.
Vighnesh's stage work has earned acclaim, notably his performance as Marco in A View from the Bridge (Off-Broadway, 2022), praised for its powerful stillness and intensity. He recently appeared as The Sailor in Moby Dick: The Opera at the Metropolitan Opera house. In Netflix's immersive production of Squid Game: The Experience in NYC, he has served as both a performer and Head of Theatre Operations, playing a crucial role in its success.
On screen, he has appeared in The Curve and The Dishwasher (2024), both lauded by critics. His award-winning short film Mirrors (2025) showcased his skills as director, actor, and editor-earning accolades at the New York International Film Awards (2025) for Best Director and Best Editing, and at the Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival (2025) for Best Acting.
