Josef Fares and Hazelight Studios may have done it again. After great success, both critically and commercially, with It Takes Two and A Way Out, the studio has brought us Split Fiction, another game centered around the idea of gaming with another person, and telling the story around that mechanic, and the story of Split Fiction is one for the ages. However, the question is, how long will it take you to beat Split Fiction, and we have the answer.
How Long Does it Take to Beat Split Fiction?
Split Fiction has benefitted from the lessons learned by the studio with its previous games, and in doing so, sends the two protagonists Zoe and Mio on a journey of unbelievable imagination, intrigue and flat out enjoyment.

How to Defeat the Sri Crime Boss
The Sri Crime Boss is the third boss of Split Fiction, and is the culmination of the first chapter. Featuring the pun-giving, intentionally poorly written Sri Crime Boss in what will be the first and last time you have to face her.
Split Fiction’s third boss is different to its predecessors, in that it only has two phases, albeit both far more difficult and damaging than any of the others before it. Split Fiction certainly doesn’t hold back in this boss fight, with the...

It's sometimes a rare treat to see an anime series actually finish its story, since it's rather common for an anime to either go on hiatus or never finish the original manga's story at all. Recent anime titles, meanwhile, haven't even had a chance to finish their stories yet, such as My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen, so anime fans end up with a lot of unfinished stories. However, there are some wonderful exceptions to that trend.
In past decades, fantastic anime like Neon Genesis Evangelion and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood finished their stories, and more recently, other great anime titles have done the same. From 2020 to the present, fun anime series in all different genres crossed the finish line and aired their final seasons or concluded with anime movies. Anime fans can either watch these series for the first time or revisit them so they can get a complete viewing experience.

When struggling sci-fi author Mio and fantasy writer Zoe attend a meeting at Rader Publishing, they think they're on the cusp of getting a book deal. Instead, they find themselves roped into a tech demo, placed into an immersive VR simulation of their work. Finding it sketchy, Mio tries to escape, only to be knocked into Zoe's experience, trapping them both in worlds that alternate between their respective genres.
The real fantasy is any literary publisher having the budget for resources like that, so it's little surprise that Rader is actually a big tech company trying to literally steal ideas directly from the minds of creators, all to be soullessly churned into #content. In the age of AI slop we're all currently trapped in, the metaphor is unmissable.
Split Fiction absolutely dazzles with its sheer inventiveness at every moment.

Struggling with Split Fiction? Your partner letting you down? Well whether it’s during gameplay or a boss, we have absolutely all the answers you could possibly need. This guide will be your Split Fiction walkthrough for Mr Hammer, and more accurately, how to beat Mr Hammer.
How to Defeat Mr Hammer
Mr Hammer is the first proper boss of the game (and potentially a reference to a certain Batman: Arkham City villain), and introduces you to the real co-operative mechanics of the game. You and your partner have zero choice now; you have to be on the same wavelength throughout this chaotic and hectic boss fight, otherwise you’ll end up smushed on the floor by Mr Hammer and his gigantic hammer more times than you can count. Thankfully though, he’s not a difficult boss once you understand what you have to do over the three phases.

Caleb Anderson here, examining how Split Fiction crafts its narrative landscape. The game introduces us to Mio and Zoe, two aspiring authors caught in a high-tech simulation that animates their written ideas.
Their separate creative worlds—one filled with futuristic intrigue and the other brimming with magical allure—collide in an inventive format that challenges conventional storytelling. The shifting narrative perspectives recall the experimental spirit found in French New Wave films, where narrative structure is in constant motion.
The game’s approach to cooperative play feels reminiscent of dynamic, character-driven cinema, encouraging partners to interact in ways that affect both the narrative and the experience on screen.
Hazelight Studios has built a reputation for imaginative co-op projects that mirror the collaborative energy seen in independent film productions. Their commitment to crafting imaginative experiences is evident here, with Split Fiction offering a fresh take on interactive storytelling.

It’s safe to say that It Takes Two was a breakout success for Swedish developer Hazelight Studios. The co-op action adventure won “Game of the Year” at The Game Awards in 2021 and has since gone on to sell 20 million copies in four years — an impressive feat for any title, let alone a cooperative game about a couple working through their troubled marriage together. After the immense success of its previous title, the studio now returns with one of the year’s most-anticipated games: Split Fiction (out March 6).

One of the big gaming industry questions that keeps everybody except the folks at Nintendo up at night is how to attract people to this big, weird, daunting medium who don’t already have a favorite game that they’re set on playing until the end of time.
Josef Fares, then, was onto something with 2021’s It Takes Two, packaging up the best elements of modern gaming in such a way that almost anyone could pick up the game and, with the help of a second person, have a grand time running around interacting with a fantastical world defined by its quirky flights of fancy. Hell, I owe that game for teaching me and my current partner how we each approach problems and how to come together as a team.

Plenty of great anime have come and gone over the years. Whether you're looking for the next big shōnen action series or a casual slice-of-life comedy, there are plenty of great options for viewers to choose from. Series like Naruto, Chainsaw Man, and My Dress Up Darling are all outstanding anime that got their start through their stellar manga. Even if the anime is more well known, a good manga could be a great gateway for new fans to jump into the next big anime franchise.
However, not all manga adaptations are created equal. For every great adaptation of a series like Psycho-Pass, there are bound to be just as many that miss the mark. It's a shame that many manga adaptations don't get the time they deserve to truly shine. Many times, the subsequent anime could be so bad that it ruins the reputation of the entire series. Any...
