Jamar Shipman
African-American professional wrestler best known for his work for Ring of Honor and TNA as Jay Lethal. Made his in-ring debut for Jersey All Pro Wrestling at "JAPW Class of 2001 Student Show" on October 26, 2001 with a win over Dixie (Brian Brower). Competed over 2002 for JAPW and Jersey Championship Wrestling before arriving in ROH in a dark (pre-show) match loss to Homicide (Nelson Erazo) at "ROH Final Battle" on December 28th. He won his first title by defeating JAPW Television Champion Ghost Shadow and Rain (Eric Darkstorm) in a three-way match at "JAPW Never Forget" on September 13, 2002. In ROH in 2003, he changed his name to Hydro and joined the rich kid ravers heel stable Special K, while still using the Jay Lethal name in JAPW, JCW, New York Wrestling Connection, the New Age Wrestling Federation (Connecticut), American Championship Entertainment, USA Pro, WrestleJam, CZW, Pro Wrestling Unplugged and NWA Upstate, finally dropping the Hydro name after a loss to CM Punk at "ROH Survival of the Fittest" on June 24, 2004. Debuted for TNA in a loss to Samoa Joe (Joe Seanoa) on the December 17 (taped December 13), 2005 "TNA Impact" and became full time for the promotion in 2006 and stayed into 2011. He went back to ROH and has been there ever since, along with making appearances for other promotions. Among his in-ring achievements, he is a former ROH World Heavyweight Champion, a former 2x ROH World Television Champion, a former ROH Pure Champion, a former 6x TNA X-Division Champion, a former TNA World Tag Team Champion with Consequences Creed (Austin Watson) as Lethal Consequences, and, on September 22, 2012, won the ROH Survival of the Fittest Tournament.
