Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster saw the original game in the series return to modern platforms 18 years after its initial release, and eight years after its previous HD remaster. Upon its original release back in 2006, Capcom's title was used to showcase the rendering power of the Xbox 360 with hundreds of zombies appearing on-screen at once. This was achieved by using the Dawn of the Dead-esque premise of survivors trapped in a shopping mall to ensure it was always a busy environment, as players were given the freedom to use a variety of items from different stores to defeat these hordes of the undead, from sporting goods to electric guitars and children's toys, alongside more traditional weapons.

With Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster arriving digitally next month, Capcom did mention that there will be a physical version released down the line. That date just so happens to have been announced today as being November 8 for PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series! In addition, the developers for the remaster dropped a new video showcasing more content from the game, including quality-of-life improvements, new features and more.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster director Ryosuke Murai is joined in the video by the game’s producer, Kei Morimoto, to discuss the revamped content for the game. In addition to things such as revamped facial motion capture, the ability to temporarily turn off the Ui, and the ability to see the condition of your weapon, another improvement introduced is the ability to complete certain actions while talking on the transceiver and uninterrupted calls, even when being attacked, have been introduced.

After springing the surprise on fans last week with the announcement of the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, Capcom has dished out the details on the upcoming project during their Capcom Next event, including a September 19th release date! A physical version will follow in November.
Coming to PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster not only gives the 2006 original a graphical upgrade, but also some Quality of Life improvements. For starters, you can now move while aiming, amongst other tweaks to how Frank controls. You also now have autosaving, rather than having to scramble to find a bathroom to save your game. There have also been tweaks made to the game’s Ui (though no word on if you can skip Otis’ calls).
According to the game’s director, Ryosuke Murai, the team did their best to respect the direction of the original game. “If you’ve played the original,...
