Hirendra Jha, a dynamic writer, author, and journalist based in Mumbai, has a career that spans across diverse media landscapes. Born and raised in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, Hirendra pursued a B.A. in English Honours from Bhagalpur University (2000-2003) and a Masters in Mass Communication and Journalism from Makhan Lal Chaturvedi Rashtriya Patrakarita Vishwavidyalaya (2004-2006).
Hirendra's career kicked off at RED FM 93.5 in Delhi-NCR as a copywriter (2006-2008). His talent soon found a broader canvas at All India Radio, where he penned over 100 radio serials, including the acclaimed "Kalam Ke Jadugar: Munshi Premchand" (26 episodes).
His creative journey extends to crafting advertisements, jingles, radio spots, and documentaries for both state and central governments. On television, he brought stories to life with series such as "College Campus" (Shakti Channel, 2008), "Jahane Nisbah" (DD Urdu, 2010), "Aadarsh Gram" (DD Kisan, 2015), and "Duur Se Namastey" (Doordarshan National, 2022).
Hirendra's storytelling prowess is also evident in the audio realm with shows like "Ek Premi Ki Diary" (20 episodes, 2020) and "Lajja Shankar" (5 episodes, 2021) on Aawaz.
In the world of journalism, Hirendra served as the Entertainment Editor at Dainik Jagran, Mumbai (2016-2019) and is currently the Editor of Aadhi Aabadi Magazine since 2020.
An accomplished author, Hirendra has penned three bestselling books: "Media ke Diggaj" (2015), "Ek Khwaab" (2017), and "Sej: Sunanda Pushkar Ki Kahani" (2021).
His contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, including the Adarsh Sewa Ratan Award (UP Government, 2020), Radio Adda Excellence Award (2022), and Dhadak Excellence Award (2024).
