Brandon Moore is a composer known for Universal's Des extraterrestres ont mangé mes devoirs (2018) (featuring the voice talent of William Shatner), the horror-comedy Don't Raise the Dead (the Board Game) (2023), the horror short Motion at Your Door (2022) (both Screamfest Official Selections) and the IFS Festival's Best Drama winner The Year I Did Nothing (2019). Brandon has been a musician since an early age shifting from piano, viola, to trombone. Upon completing his undergrad in music theory and composition in Fort Worth, TX, he moved to Los Angeles to attend USC's Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television program studying under legendary film composers Elmer Bernstein, David Raksin, and Christopher Young.
He's contributed scores to a wide range of films. One of his most recent, Where the Dead Go (2023), won Best Horror Feature Film at the Golden State Film Festival in 2024. The Phoenix International Horror and Sci-Fi winner Chrysalis (2008) was one of three screen adaptations of a story by acclaimed writer Ray Bradbury for which Brandon has written original music. In 2012 he scored the documentary Toy Masters (2012) about the Masters of the Universe He-Man toy franchise and its battle between creators and the Mattel toy company.
Some of Brandon's music can be heard in the latest series of audio dramas from Earbud Theater (the Audio Verse Award nominated score to the "The Current" and the Halloween anthologies "Tales from the Dead of Night" Parts 1 and 2). Brandon's music can also be heard in the Dungeons & Dragons comedy web series The Party (2023) an award winning selection at both the Miami and Los Angeles Web Fests for 2024.
In 2021 Brandon composed his most recent work for the concert stage "Firethorn," an octet for Trombone commissioned by the Red River Trombones and TCU Trombone ensemble. His most recent piece "Aura Collage" for Solo Trombone and Brass Ensemble had its world premiere in Fort Worth, TX in June of 2024.
Most recently Brandon has scored two films based on Bruce Coville's best selling book series from Universal - Des extraterrestres ont mangé mes devoirs (2018) and its Emmy winning sequel Des extraterrestres ont volé mon corps (2020). Both scores have been released on the Back Lot Music label.
