At the recent Indiana Comic Convention, longtime Trek veteran Jonathan Frakes — who played Riker in The Next Generation before going on to direct many episodes of other series — explained the credentials behind the show’s pedigree.

Dubbed The Orville: New Horizons, season 3 was such a step above everything that had come before that it was mind-blowing. Seth MacFarlane's The Orville has received high praise from Star Trek: The Next Generation actor Jonathan Frakes. A fan asked him about the parody series at this year's Indiana Comic Convention.

Reported by Collider, a fan asked Frakes, who played William Riker in Star Trek: The Next Generation, his thoughts about Seth MacFarlane's beloved series. The Orville both parodies and pays homage to Star Trek and the Next Generation eras, while also taking inspiration from Star Wars to tell a sci-fi comedy story, with the crew of its space-ship going on serialized adventures. Frakes spoke highly of both MacFarlane and his work, saying, "Seth MacFarlane is arguably our biggest celebrity fan."

One of the reasons Frakes had such nice things to say about The Orville was due to the way MacFarlane utilized Star Trek veteran creatives for the series. "He hired Brannon Braga, who worked on a lot of our best stuff.

April is going to be a good month for G.I. Joe fans, with films from the action-packed series finding a new streaming home. The two films that launched the franchise will stream for free on Tubi.

Doctor Odyssey is coming back after a long midseason break so here's what to remember about the hit ABC drama!

Premiering in September 2024, Doctor Odyssey has become a nice success for ABC on Thursday nights. The show last aired in December before going on a long midseason break. Thankfully, it returns on March 6 and, even better, will air the latter half of its first season without any breaks!

So far, there's no word on if the show is getting a second season, but we do have some fun to get to, so here's a quick reminder on what to know before Doctor Odyssey returns!

Tristan hits the surf with First Officer Spencer Monroe (Marcus Emanuel Mitchell). Their beach day comes to an end when there’s a shark lurking nearby.

In the 2010s, the success of Arrow resulted in a Flash spinoff series and eventually the entire Arrowverse. Despite being its spiritual successor, Smallvillenever went down this path. However, it wasn't for a lack of trying, and as recently as two years ago, there was still interest in reviving the beloved Superman series.

Smallville was a smash hit that lasted 10 seasons, but none of its potential spinoffs even got a single season. Only one of the conceptualized spinoffs even had a pilot produced, even after the CW drama went out of its way to include multiple backdoor pilots. Every proposed spinoff would have starred at least one iconic DC hero, and with fans having only recently learned about some of them, it's possible there are still pitches that haven't been unveiled.

Aquaman Had a Full Pilot Produced

Arthur "AC" Curry, Aka Aquaman, made his debut on Smallville in Season 5, Episode 4, "Aqua.

Keanu Reeves has become known for his brutal role as dog-loving assassin John Wick in the last decade, but he will be leaving that all behind for an upcoming role that will see him bring back “comedic Keanu.” Jonah Hill-directed Outcome will not only see Reeves being reunited with Cameron Diaz for the first time since 1996 dark comedy Feeling Minnesota, but will also find him leaving behind his action hero persona for something in which he doesn’t even do “one karate punch.”

According to Roy Wood Jr., who also appears in the movie, the film is “extremely funny,” and he shared as much as he was able about Reeves’ appearance at the Sundance Film Festival. Speaking to ScreenRant, he said:
