Viren Thambidorai's career as an actor began a few years ago when he started playing cameos in music videos and films. However, his journey as a professional actor began when people started noticing him as ViruDada in his music videos. These are songs written, produced and performed by Viren Thambidorai. Some of his notable roles are in films like Azhar, Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi, 118, Devadas, Vajra Kavachadhara Govinda, and the Zee5 web series Loser.

In a creative career spanning over two decades, Viren Thambidorai has worked as an Actor, Director, Producer, Writer, Ad Filmmaker, Cinematographer, and Digital Entrepreneur. But what sets his work apart is the technological edge he adds to his deep understanding of entertainment and multimedia platforms across the spectrum. Producing information and entertainment products across diverse media - film, television, multimedia, animation, gaming, and the web, leading teams to help build products, solutions, infrastructure, quality systems, and strategic business opportunities for M&E. While exploring Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Visual Effects in gaming and films, Viren redefined some of the most imaginative works as a Creative Producer at Suresh Productions. Viren has also played a part in setting up Spirit Media as one of South India's most successful post-production facilities for visual effects, animation, and digital post services. As Executive Producer at Barrie Osborne's GEON Studios (a Sahara group initiative), a visual effects and animation facility based in Mumbai, Viren built a world-class CG, Animation and Visual effects team for designing, developing and executing visual effects for international feature films.
