Listen, just because there isn't some long-awaited fan favorite original Netflix series popping up with a new season, it doesn't mean that there's nothing worth watching this week. I'd say several great shows are coming to your favorite streamer.
We'll get a documentary series about cheerleaders for a team that a lot of people hate. And a documentary about a mayor that a lot of people hated. Thankfully, that balances out with a huge show that many people loved, making its Netflix debut.
I'll be honest; I've never seen a single episode of that show. But I do have about 37 friends who swear it's the best thing ever. We'll get to that soon enough. For now, we've got plenty to talk about. We've got witch hunters - well, one, anyway. We also have demon hunters, just to make sure they didn't feel left out. Add magical standup, weird food, and family drama,...

But if, on the other hand, you are family people who believe in a better world and that your children could live peacefully with AI and sustainability… The Wonder Weeks offers you a gentle proposal and a chance to encounter the challenges of raising a baby.
Movie review
On a technical level, a correct film, with good performances of rather light comedy, the kind that won’t win you a Cesar or an Oscar.
It has a simple, natural script and is treated as a light comedy (also) at script and direction level, with a slow pace that marks well the times of the sequences and these, in the general tone,...

Netflix has revealed an official trailer for an indie romantic comedy titled Just Say Yes from The Netherlands, made by filmmakers Appie Boudellah & Aram van de Rest. Based on a disturbingly true story, Pain & Gain features Wahlberg as Daniel Lugo, a fitness obsessed gym manager who, deciding that it's his turn to cash in on the American dream, enlists the aide of fellow bodybuilders Adrian Doorbal (Mackie) and Paul Doyle (Johnson) to kidnap and extort a wealthy Miami resident, Victor Kershaw (Shaloub). It's after they've taken everything he owns and attempted to murder him several times over, however, that the true crime story gets truly unbelievable....

Here's a couple of clips from Michael Bay's version of an indie movie, Pain & Gain. The reason I say that is because I think this is the lowest budget he's ever had to work with on a movie before. It looks like a fantastic movie though, and I've also heard good things about it. One clip features a scene between Anthony Mackie and Rebel Wilson as they discuss fixing his balls. The other clip features the first initial kidnapping attempt.
Based on the unbelievable true story of three personal trainers in 1990s Miami who, in pursuit of the American Dream, get caught up in a criminal enterprise that goes horribly wrong.
The film also stars Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, Ed Harris, Rob Corddry, Tony Shalhoub, Bar Paly, Ken Jeong, and Yolanthe Cabau. The movie hits theaters later this month on April 26th.

Paramount Pictures has released a great new red-band trailer for Michael Bay's Pain & Gain, which stars Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson. The trailer is packed full of new footage that I think you're really going to enjoy. I thought there was some great stuff here, and it's easily the best trailer I've seen for the movie.
Pain & Gain is based on a true story about a three Florida bodybuilders who get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme involving a wealthy businessman that goes terribly yet hilariously wrong. It stars Anthony Mackie, Ed Harris, Rob Corddry, Tony Shalhoub, Bar Paly, Rebel Wilson, Ken Jeong, and Yolanthe Cabau. The movie hits theaters April 26th, 2013, and it looks like it's a solid Bay movie worth checking out! Enjoy the new trailer!

"I watched a lot of movies Paul, I know what I'm doing."
Michael Bay has released the trailer for his Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson film Pain & Gain, and I have to say... this looks like it could be one of his best films. I thought this was a great trailer, and it looks like it's going to be an entertaining flick. It looks like it's got a solid mix of action and comedy, and Wahlberg and Johnson look like they make a great on-screen team.
The film is based on a true story and the two lead actors play a pair of Florida bodybuilders who get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme involving a wealthy businessman that goes terribly wrong.
Synopsis:
From acclaimed director Michael Bay comes “Pain & Gain,” a new action comedy starring Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson and Anthony Mackie. Based on the unbelievable...

Sometimes, Michael Bay‘s balls-to-the-wall, guns-blazing, explosions-popping approach to filmmaking really does work out. And working out in its many forms is at the heart of his new project, the Dwayne Johnson- and Mark Wahlberg-starring Pain & Gain. In case you haven’t quite caught on just yet, Johnson and Wahlberg play body builders in the deranged true-life tale of crime gone buff…and stupid. Seriously, have you read the original Miami New Times report that Bay is basing his film on yet? Do that now. The film’s first poster took a similarly yoked-up approach to the material, so now is perhaps a good time to just get comfortable with seeing guns blazing when it comes to this project. The film also stars Anthony Mackie, Ed Harris, Rob Corddry, Tony Shalhoub, Bar Paly, Rebel Wilson, Ken Jeong, and Yolanthe Cabau. Pain & Gain arrives in theaters on April 26, 2013. Here's the new poster for Michael Bay's next film Pain & Gain featuring Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg. In the film they play a pair of Florida bodybuilders who get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme involving a wealthy businessman that goes terribly wrong. If you didn'talready know, it's based on a true story.
The script was written by Captain America scribes Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. It also stars Anthony Mackie, Ed Harris, Rob Corddry, Tony Shalhoub, Bar Paly, Rebel Wilson, Ken Jeong and Yolanthe Cabau.
I'm curious to see how this movie turns out, as it's not your normal big budget Michael Bay film. This is the movie that will show us how good of a storyteller he really is because we won't be distracted by a bunch of crazy explosions and special effects throughout the movie.
