Marcello Melo Jr. is a Brazilian actor, singer, songwriter, musician and model. He became nationally known for playing the player Maicon in Malhação, where he formed a successful partnership with Maria Pinna, and also the great violent villain Jairo in the novel, Família. Marcello was born in Nova Iguaçu, in Baixada Fluminense, RJ, and was raised on Vidigal hill, in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro.
