The 1999 teen romantic comedy 10 Things I Hate About You, starring Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles, is set to be turned into a musical on Broadway by a creative team laden with Grammy and Tony awards.
The stage adaptation will be scored by “Call Me Maybe” singer Carly Rae Jepsen and Ethan Gruska, and will be based on a book by Girls star Lena Dunham and veteran playwright and librettist Jessica Huang. The direction and choreography will be done by Christopher Wheeldon, with musical arrangements and orchestrations to come from Tom Kitt.
The original Touchstone Pictures movie, loosely based on Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew play, was a breakout film for Ledger and Stiles and had a cast that included Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Allison Janney and Larry Miller. Ledger played Patrick Verona, the bad-boy heartthrob who is paid to pursue the rebellious, hard-headed Kat Stratford (Stiles) as part of...

A while back, we heard that Spyder Dobrofsky – who worked on the scripts for such flicks as The Housewives of the North Pole and One Christmas Wish, as well as Mom’s Day Away, and made his feature directorial debut with the mystery thriller Spiral – was making a holiday horror movie called Down Below. That movie made its way out into the world last October (you can check it out on Amazon), and as 2024 was drawing to a close, it was announced that Dobrofsky is following it up with a creature feature called The Weeping. Now, it has been revealed that Doug Jones – who is best known for working with Guillermo del Toro on Mimic, Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Crimson Peak, and The Shape of Water – has joined the cast to play the corrupt Sheriff Earl.

Ned’s Declassified School Survivor’s Guide stars Devon Werkheiser, Lindsey Shaw and Daniel Curtis Lee took to their podcast to express their regrets after a joke they seemingly made about Drake Bell received backlash earlier this week.
On Tuesday, the Nickelodeon child stars were on a TikTok Live during which they were receiving comments from fans asking what their thoughts were on the Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV docuseries, in which Bell came forward about his child sexual abuse.
While someone commented, asking about the docuseries, Werkheiser made a joke directed at Lee, saying, “Daniel, we told you never to speak about that. Get back in your hole, Daniel, and give me your holes!” Fans took that to mean they were mocking Bell following his claims.
Werkheiser attempted to correct himself in the video, noting, “Sorry, we shouldn’t joke about this. We really shouldn’t.

"Fairly OddParents" may not be quite as universally recognizable as Nickelodeon's flagship series, but the very funny series about wish-granting fairy godparents that only kids can see seems to be just as prolific. Though the original animated series last aired in 2017, live-action movies and a live-action Paramount+ spinoff series have kept the world of Cosmo (Daran Norris) and Wanda (Susanne Blakeslee) alive over the years. Now, thanks to a report from What's On Netflix (via Cbr), rumors are swirling that another animated series set within the same cartoon universe as the original may be in the works at Netflix.
The original run of "Fairly OddParents" followed spiky-haired pre-teen Timmy Turner (Tara Strong) through a not-so-great adolescence that suddenly got a lot better when he discovered he had fairy godparents to help him through. Cosmo and Wanda were far from your traditional Disney fairies, though, and pretty much every wish...

Lindsey Shaw, who starred as Paige McCullers on Pretty Little Liars, is getting candid about why she was let go from the hit teen drama.
On a recent episode of the Ned’s Declassified Podcast Survival Guide podcast, the actress explained that the show’s creative team made the decision to fire her due to her drug use and “relationship with food.”
“When I had my drug problem and I was in between working on stuff, you know, I would never have to address my relationship with food because I was always like, ‘Oh, I could always just go get more Adderall.’ Do you know what I mean? And like be okay with it,” Shaw said. “So it was really hard…. I got basically let go from Pretty Little Liars in season five because of the weight that I had lost, and it was really an embarrassing, embarrassing thing. Like...

Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide star Devon Werkheiser explains why Zoey 101 is being rebooted but not his Nickelodeon show. The series, which ran from 2004 to 2007, starred Werkheiser as the titular Ned Bidgy who frequently broke the fourth wall to teach the audience how to survive the trials and tribulations of middle school. Along with Ned, the series also followed the lives of Moze (Lindsey Shaw) and Cookie (Daniel Curtis Lee).
Werkheiser, Shaw, and Lee recently appeared on the Vulnerable podcast hosted by Christy Carlson Romano and discussed the possibility of a Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide reboot.
Asked why Nickelodeon is rebooting Zoey 101 but not Ned's Declassified, Werkheiser revealed that he, along with creator Scott Fellows, pitched a great idea for a reboot centered around the characters as adults, though the network passively rejected it for the time being. Lindsey Shaw is leaving social media behind ... for now.
The actress was criticized for making fun of a popular TikTok dance made popular by Black TikTok creators.
The former Pretty Little Liars and Ned's Declassified star shared a clip on her own account before cutting to herself doing the dance and saying the following:
"Hey, are we Ok? What the f**k is this?"
Lindsey's Ned's Declassified co-star, Devon Werkheiser, who is white, posted the same clip but put himself in the video to share the dance ahead of her comments.
This was days earlier, and Lindsey had commented, "Get it!!!!"
There were also laughing face emojis on the same post from Shaw.
Shaw was called out in the comments section, but the star did not back down initially before sharing a video with her crying and talking about the backlash she has received.
