He has become such a prolific film and TV actor since then that many might forget that hes a song and dance man first.

I may be ready to give up on Nic Cage after this movie if I’m honest. Actually, that may be a tad harsh because I do feel like he is doing his best with the half-baked mindless script he was given. Cage as Dracula alone was the selling point of Renfield and as I would come to find out, Cage is not even in the damn film all that much!

I realise that I’m not exactly burying the lead here in terms of how I felt about Renfield but don’t worry because it’s not all bad. Let’s jump into it….

Nicolas Cage has been in just about every kind of film you can think of, and he’s played just about every kind of character you can think of. One of his best, most famous, and over-the-top parts is in 1988s Vampire’s Kiss, where Nic Cage plays a publishing executive convinced he’s turning into a bloodsucking vampire. Now, more than 30 years later, not only is Nic Cage playing a vampire, he’s playing the lord of vampires, the prince of darkness, Count Dracula. It’s a role Cage seemed destined to play, after all, his uncle Francis Ford Coppola directed the 1992 film Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Now Nic Cage gets to shine as that title character, and it’s a performance worthy of a better film.

Universal’s Dracula comedy Renfield, starring Nicolas Cage as Dracula and Nicholas Hoult as his titular lackey, is set to reach theatres next week, on April 14th, and while the primary draw is the chance to see Cage play Dracula, the movie also includes a couple special treats for fans of the horror genre. Among the cast members are Caroline Williams, best known for playing the heroine Stretch in 1986’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, and William Ragsdale, who previously crossed paths with vampires in 1985’s Fright Night and the 1988 sequel Fright Night Part 2. Universal has released the first trailer for “Renfield,” a Dracula movie starring Nicolas Cage.

Despite movie (and vampire) fans’ curiosity about Cage’s distinctive spin on the voice and aesthetic of Count Dracula in the upcoming film, the Academy Award-winning actor is not the main character. Instead, the film’s protagonist and namesake is Nicholas Hoult, who plays the Transylvanian count’s right-hand man, Renfield.

Renfield begins as a devoted servant who gradually becomes disillusioned with carrying out Dracula’s malevolent deeds. When a traffic cop played by Awkwafina catches his eye, love fuels Renfield to reevaluate his outlook on life and his willingness to continue helping Dracula.

The cast includes Ben Schwartz, Adrian Martinez, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Bess Rous and more.

We’re just three months away from the April 14th theatrical release of Universal’s horror comedy Dracula movie Renfield, which stars Nicholas Hoult as the title character and Nicolas Cage as his bloodsucking boss. The studio hasn’t released a trailer for the film yet, but they just took what would appear to be a positive step toward sending the trailer out into the world: they have unveiled the official logo for Renfield. You can check it out in the Twitter video embed at the bottom of this article.

That logo is probably the title image we’re going to see in the trailer, so the full trailer can’t be far behind.

It’s about time for Universal to start up the marketing machine for their horror comedy Dracula movie Renfield, which stars Nicholas Hoult as the title character and Nicolas Cage as his bloodsucking boss. The film based on an original story outline by Robert Kirkman centers on Renfield (Hoult), who has grown sick and tired of his centuries as Dracula’s (Cage) lackey. The henchman finds a new lease on life and maybe even redemption when he falls for feisty, perennially angry traffic cop Rebecca Quincy (Awkwafina).

Bess will play Caitlyn, a member of a support group for people in toxic relationships.

Other Space takes place in the distant future, the year 2105, where the Universal Mapping Projects (Ump) has been created by a multi-national corporate coalition. Their intention is – “to explore the universe for the purpose of scientific inquiry”. The main vessel that we see during the show is the Ump Cruiser, which apparently was once used as the setting for a reality show.

He wins out over his sister, Karen (Bess Rous), largely because she is so… intense, that even the higher-ups of the space program are scared of her.

Yahoo has released the first new trailer for Other Space, which is Bridesmaids director Paul Feig’s first television series since the late, lamented Freaks and Geeks left the air 15 years ago.

The show, described as a mashup of Red Dwarf, Mystery Science Theater 3000 and The Office, centers on a crew of 22nd century space explorers who were placed on a ship as babies and wake up as confused and clueless adults. When they discover an alternate universe, the overmatched rookies must band together to explore it and attempt to find their way back home.

Other Space, the third series produced for Yahoo Screen, stars Karan Soni (Betas), Milana Vayntrub (Silicon Valley), Conor Leslie (Klondike), Eugene Cordero (House of Lies), Neil Casey (Broad City), Bess Rous (Murder in the First) and Mystery Science Theater 3000 alums Trace Beaulieu and Joel Hodgson.

The online media giant has released the official trailer for its newest original series Other Space, a sci-fi comedy harking from Paul Feig and premiering on Yahoo Screen on April 14, 2015.

Created by Feig (Bridesmaids, Freaks and Geeks), Other Space centers around the inexperienced and wholly unprepared crew of the Ump Cruiser. During a mission to explore space, the ship gets sucked through a portal into another universe. The Cruiser’s crew must work together to survive food shortages, alien attacks, robot rebellions and more, all while dealing with the reality they may never see home again.

Paul Feig’s slate has never been so packed. Or so popular. His upcoming espionage chucklefest Spy is gathering positive reviews, he’s deep in development on the all-female led Ghostbusters reboot and if a recent report is correct, he’ll be shaping a Play-Doh movie for Fox.
