- BAFTA winning Scottish director Jon S. Baird has collaborated with industry leaders including; Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Sir Mick Jagger and numerous Academy Award winning actors.
Baird's sophomore feature Filth (2013), which he wrote, produced and directed, starred James McAvoy in a career defining performance. Filth was nominated for 5 BIFA awards and 3 BAFTA Scotland awards.
In 2015 Baird was approached by HBO to direct their Martin Scorsese / Mick Jagger produced show Vinyl. From this Baird has been mentored by Martin Scorsese for the past decade, having formed a close friendship.
In 2017 he directed the multi Bafta and Golden Globe nominated film Stan & Ollie, about comedy legends Laurel & Hardy starring Steve Coogan and John C Reilly, from which Baird won the BAFTA Scotland award for best director.
In 2020 Baird directed the critically acclaimed Apple movie Tetris starring Taron Egerton and in 2022 directed Matthew Macfadyen in Stonehouse, a three part drama fro ITV and Britbox.
His latest movie Everything's Going To Be Great for Lionsgate stars Bryan Cranston, Allison Janney and Chris Cooper.
