She attended the Philadelphia High School for Girls and graduated from
Temple University in Philadelphia.
Composing lyrics for WNBC's 1992 image campaign song "We're 4 New York", performed in 1992-95 by Andrea McArdle and Curtis King, and in 2007 by Alexis Kalehoff with some verses performed in 1992 and 2002 by The Boys Choir of Harlem.
