Yvonne Caro Caro

IMDbProStarmeterSee rank
Yvonne Caro Caro is a prolific international Puerto Rican actress whose work encompasses theater, film, television and voice over. Her prominent and diverse, classical-theater performances include the title role in Jean Anouilh's Antigone, Annie in Arthur Miller's All My Sons, and Madam Ranevskaya in Tanya Saracho's adaptation of The Cherry Orchard, El Nogalar. Caro Caro's portrayal of leading roles in record-breaking theater and television projects such as El insólito caso de Miss. Piña Colada and Clase del 90 parts I and II made her one of the most sought-after actresses in Puerto Rico as well as one of the most recognized faces of her generation.

She has played leading roles in top-rated series and films such as Al borde del deseo and Sudor amargo. In Los Angeles, she has worked alongside Alfred Molina in Monday Mornings and with Tracee Ellis Ross in Girlfriends, among others.

Beyond her work as an actress, the play, Tina Modotti, A Dream of Revolution, which she co-developed and performed throughout Puerto Rico, established Caro Caro as a theater maker of importance. As late theater critic and playwright Abniel Marat wrote in El Vocero de Puerto Rico, "this incredible woman is a talent for life and art."

Yvonne earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Acting from UCLA's School of Theater, Film and TV, where she was granted a merit scholarship and the Laura Pells Award, and holds a bachelor's degree in Theater from the University of Puerto Rico.

Yvonne Caro Caro is a lifetime member of The Actors Studio.
