You know a sitcom is good when you laugh out loud even when you're watching alone, and when you actually care about the characters enough to say, "No, no, no!" when they do something they shouldn't, like Grayson and Laurie kissing at the end of last night's episode. But let's back up. I believe Cougar Town is the only show on TV that serves more wine than Brothers & Sisters. A bottle of red loosened Jules up enough to tell Jeff (guest star Scott Foley, you will be missed!) "You'd make a pretty girl... Seriously, I have a skirt that's a little too big for me,...

What appears to be a long-running plot line on The Office this season is quickly becoming worse and worse - for Dunder-Mifflin, not us. In last night's "Shareholder Meeting," the company's financial problems were again front and center. This paper company is going under.
That is, unless Michael can come up with a plan at the meeting of shareholders in New York.
In a great commentary on corporate mismanagement, the bosses sent a limo to bring him, Dwight, Oscar and Andy to the meeting. That's not a waste of money at all.
In the end, he enjoyed a moment in the sun, but Michael provided little no help to the board. Back in Scranton, Jim tried to be the disciplinarian. With mixed results.
Nothing too exceptional overall, but a quality episode on all fronts.
Just a few of The Office quotes from last night's episode are posted below (follow the...

In what might be the most emotionally moving episode of Three Rivers yet, the episode begins with a man coming to the hospital after a car accident. He suffers from Als, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. (He is played by award-winning actor Mandy Patinkin.)
Also highlighted in this episode is a young man who comes in with breathing trouble.
Kuol is one of the first to connect with Victor, the Als patient. Kuol asks him what he’s in the hospital for and Victor explains his condition. They talk about baseball and have a laugh when Kuol re-enacts Lou Gehrig’s final speech.
David discovers the man with lung problems wants to leave the hospital instead of getting his lungs treated. David tries to stop him, but legally he cannot. The man promises to come back to the hospital if the lung issue comes back and David gives...

The original reality show broke ground with Pedro.
On November 11, 1994, the day after the final episode of The Real World: San Francisco aired, Pedro Zamora succumbed to complications from AIDS. Most of the world had only known him since June of that year, but the 22-year-old had made the most of the short time he’d spent on earth.
Born in Cuba, raised in Miami, Pedro was diagnosed as HIV+ while still in high school, and had dedicated his life to being an educator on the disease. Prior to appearing on the groundbreaking MTV reality show, he had already spoken about the disease with Oprah Winfrey, Phil Donahue, and before a session of Congress.
But it was by appearing on The Real World: San Francisco that he managed to have a global impact. For many young people, Pedro was the first real, out gay man they ever saw...

The two stars of NBC's hit comedy talk about the popular second season
One of NBC's new comedies, Parks and Recreation, is certainly hitting its stride this season. After a short-order six-episode first season, the show was given a 13-episode second season order and was recently picked up for a full 22-episode second season as well. Two of the stars of the show, Rashida Jones and Chris Pratt, who play Ann and Andy, who were a couple in the first season before splitting up, recently held a conference call to discuss this successful second season. Here's what they had to say.
Chris, were you a little worried about what that meant for the fate of - for you on the show because I know this season you're promoted to I believe series regular but were you a little worried that you - what would happen with your character once you guys broke up?...

There are two bits of good news to report about NBC’s Thursday night comedies. One is that every single show was able to pull off their Halloween episodes perfectly and they were all hilarious as ever, even you Community. The second piece of news is that NBC has decided to order full seasons of Community and Parks and Recreation! Yay!! This is really good news for Parks and Recreation which, even though having an amazingly gut-busting season this year, has been struggling hard in the ratings. There was even a worry that this show might be on the chopping block of shows to soon get the axe but it appears rave critical reviews and a loyal fan base will at least allow it to finish out the year. And now for the cavalcade of Halloween episodes!
I did like Community’s attempt at a Halloween episode as it featured...

Lauren Conrad may have retired from the world of reality TV, but that doesn't mean she's left her friends behind. Lc still hangs out with former "Hills" buddy and current "City" star Whitney Port, and the two reunited onstage as presenters on "VH1 Divas."
"Whitney Port," Conrad joked to MTV News on the red carpet for the show, when asked about a diva she knew. And, well, Port slung it right back at her. "I was going to say Lauren Conrad," she laughed. All jokes aside, Conrad said that she can't wait to catch the new episodes of "The City" when it starts on September 29.
"She'll support me," Port added about Conrad. Port said that Conrad also had a hard time adjusting to working with PR guru Kelly Cutrone,...

"True Blood" officially ended its second season run on Sunday, September 13 with two deaths and at least two cliffhangers. The episode titled "Beyond Here Lies Nothin' " picked up right after the last episode left off. Lafayette was under Maryann spell and handed out Sookie a white gown to serve as the maid of honor.
[Spoiler Warning]. Sookie reluctantly put the gown and went to the ceremonial venue. Maryann told Sookie to repeat what she did but she was unable to. This would be the subject of discussion in the third season where Sookie discovered that she is not a mere human. Also, Maryann's vibrating trick seemed to have no effect on Sookie at all. Still, Maryann proceeded with her marriage to the Bull-head god.
The plan to get Sookie as maid of honor turned out to be a bait to lure Sam into the ceremony. Maryann's idea of marrying her god was to give a sacrifice,...

I don't know about you guys, but I started to smell something fishy when Andy (Ed Helms) and Oscar (Oscar Nunez) went on a business trip with Michael (Steve Carell) early this season on The Office. On the episode, Andy tried to get Oscar get laid, while they both drunk dialed Angela.
I'm not sure if there were outright signs or I was just suspicious of these things, but then the idea sounded preposterous because Andy was engaged and hell-bent on marrying Angela (Angela Kinsey). However, when the wedding didn't happen and Andy had to go to all those honeymoons on his own, you got to wonder if something changed within him.
