Australian actor, Ivan Topic, was raised by his Yugoslavian mother in a tough, working class suburb on the outskirts of Brisbane. A blacksmith by trade, Ivan has a Bachelor of Communications in Film and Television Production and Print and Broadcast Journalism and studied copywriting at the Australian Writers and Art Directors School.
After studying the Meisner Technique at the prestigious Actors Pulse studio, Ivan has gone onto appear in many well-known feature films, television shows and Theatre productions. He was first cast in Khoa Do internationally acclaimed feature film, The Finished People (2003). Shortly after he appeared in Khoa Do's second feature film, Footy Legends (2006) and went on to play Mia Wasikowska father in Le feu sous la peau (2006). His television credits include: Summer Bay (1988), Bastard Boys (2007), Rake (2010), Petits meurtres entre riches (2011), Soul Mates (2014), and Kärlekens och skammens frukter (2014).
His film roles include On Halloween (2020), 33 Postcards (2010) and Timothy Boyle much anticipated Shadow Wars, where he appears opposite screen legend, John Rhys-Davies. His theatre credits include leading roles in Europe, The Dumb Waiter, Those The River Keeps, Spiked Heels, Glengarry Glen Ross and the Bebop Apocalypse.
