Ryan J. Prashad
- Actor
Ryan J Prashad is a versatile Toronto-based actor capable of everything from deep dramatic performances to light comedic fare and intense stunt fighting sequences.
As an active-duty Air Force Tactical Helicopter Pilot and Military Officer, Ryan possesses a rare level of skill in a large variety of action-related/tactical skills, vehicle operations, martial arts, and is a military firearms expert. More than just a soldier, Ryan is a lifelong musician and guitarist and was seeking to expand his musical presence when he was invited to a national acting, modeling and musical talent showcase in 2023. He quickly fell in love with the ability to completely lose himself in a character and performed well at the showcase, winning an award for his self-tape performance and being signed to a leading TAMAC agency with no acting credits or experience. Since then, Ryan has trained directly with some of the best instructors in the country, including Lewis Baumander (LB Acting Studios), Ellen Dubin (Voiceover) and Allen Keng (Stunts) among others. His precision and dedication to his craft has resulted in over 14 film/tv credits in 2023 and 2024 alone, culminating with joining ACTRA near the end of 2024.
Ryan draws the most inspiration from and aims to model his career after Tom Cruise - both for his dedication to character and stunts but also his versatility. Other sources of creative inspiration he aims to add to his work are the intensity of Rami Malek and charisma of Ryan Gosling.
With 2025 on the horizon, Ryan is constantly training and evolving quickly as a performer, ready and able to elevate his presence and make his mark on-screen.
