Jeet Upendra is an Indian actor who began his career in the mid-1980s when the superhit pop song Hawa Hawa by Hasan Jahangir became a sensation across India. Soon after its success as a music album, a direct-to-video film titled Don 2 (1988) was made featuring the song, with Jeet Upendra in a lead role. The popularity of this video gave him early visibility, and he later moved into mainstream cinema with notable films like Afsana Pyar Ka (1991) opposite Aamir Khan and the Malayalam hit Johnnie Walker (1992) with Mammoott and Dhar (1992).
