Shantel VanSanten is moving from FBI to FBI: Most Wanted for season 5, joining the ensemble as Special Agent Nina Chase. VanSanten's character, Nina Chase, is described as a skilled FBI agent who is in a relationship with Stuart Scola, and they raise their son together. Previous cast members, such as Alexa Davalos and Julian McMahon, have also exited the FBI franchise, with Davalos' departure being described as "amicable."

A recognizable star from FBI is moving to a spinoff in the latest cast change for the franchise. Co-created by Law & Order mastermind Dick Wolf and Craig Turk, the procedural drama has been going strong for CBS. The original FBI series, which first premiered in 2018, has led to the spinoffs FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted. The latter show will debut season 5 in February, and it will be welcoming a familiar face.

It’s not your typical November Sweeps, but FBI True will feature all-new cases and episodes that haven’t been aired before on Paramount+.

CBS announced Tuesday that the cases highlighted would include the Ruby Ridge Standoff, the manhunt for spy Robert Hanssen, the Times Square Bomber, the disappearance of Chyenne Kircher, and more.

The November 7 episode will air at 9/8c, and beginning November 14, the new airtime each Tuesday is 10/9c. It is also available to stream on Paramount+.

Special agent-turned-producer Anne Beagan was immortalized on the iconic wall at the Beverly Hills Palm at a celebration for the broadcast premiere of Paramount+ docuseries, “FBI True.”

Beagan is the executive producer and co-creator of “FBI True,” a docuseries which takes viewers into some of the most significant cases in FBI history through the perspective of the agents who were there.

The series has aired for three seasons on Paramount+, and this week, made its linear debut on CBS where it will air on Tuesday nights on the network’s strike-impacted fall schedule.

“What an honor to be immortalized as a caricature on the walls of The Palm in the heart of Beverly Hills,” said Beagan.

Tuesday night’s premiere celebration was hosted by Beagan and executive producers Shawn Efran and Craig Turk.

FBI True is a docu-series that allows viewers to see some of the most astonishing and gripping cases told through the eyes of the FBI agents and behavioralists who worked those cases.

The series premiered on Paramount+ earlier in 2023 and will debut on CBS on Tuesday, October 3. Additionally, CBS will show never-before-seen episodes, including footage from the mole hunt of Robert Hansen, the spy who betrayed his country and sold America's secrets.

TV Fanatic chatted with the EPs of FBI True, Craig Turk and Anne Beagan, who worked together on the FBI scripted series. Anne is also a veteran FBI Special Agent-turned-producer.

The two EPs shared why they liked working together, some teasers about the CBS season premiere, and what other cases they're excited for viewers to watch.
