New ‘FBI: International’ Season 4, Episode 20 Promo Reminds Us There's Only One Episode Left Before the Finale
Image
It's a bittersweet time for FBI: International fans, as the excitement of the final explosive set of episodes is tainted by the inevitable reality that just three episodes remain before the spin-off is off-air for good. Last night, Episode 19, "Flinch Now and It's Over," saw Eva-Jane Willis and Jesse Lee Soffer go undercover on a breathless Vienna-based mission to intercept a suspected American arms dealer. High-octane and bursting with tension, the episode reminded audiences of just how good FBI: International can be, and, sadly, just how frustrating it is that CBS has terminated the spin-off.

Nevertheless, the show must go on, and indeed it will with the upcoming Episode 20, "We're Out of Here." As can be seen in the official sneak peek of the episode available to watch below, "We're Out of Here" sees a mission seemingly go wrong as the stakes are heightened heading into the final trio of episodes.

The footage opens with Smitty in the middle of what first appears to be a date with a man who's opening up about the woman who broke his heart. He says she could "set him straight" and offers her another drink,...

'Everything Is Good': FBI Star Shares Positive Update on Character Missing From the Series Since 2021
Image
FBI star Zeeko Zaki has addressed the likelihood the show will bring back his character Omar Adom "Oa" Zidan's sister Amira. Cynthia Hamidi originally played Amira in Season 1 of the CBS procedural.

Viewers learned early in FBI's run that, since the Zidan children lost their father at a young age, they developed a dysfunctional relationship. Oa admitted he and Amira had a strained relationship as adults because he'd acted more like a father than a brother to her while growing up.

FBI Star Addresses Possible Return of Oa's Sister Amira

Speaking to TVLine, Zaki revealed that, while there are no plans yet for Amira to return, there is a reference to the character "in the episode we’re filming now." The actor wouldn't give away the context of the reference, but he insisted "everything is good" with Amira.

Amira first appeared in the FBI season one episode "A New Dawn,...

'FBI: CIA' is the Proposed New Spinoff in Dick Wolf's 'FBI' Universe
Image
FBI is potentially getting another spinoff show, as the world of the Federal Bureau of Investigation will collide with that of the Central Intelligence Agency. Dubbed FBI: CIA, the proposed show will be a part of the greater Dick Wolf-produced universe of FBI, FBI: Most Wanted, and FBI: International, per Deadline. Casting is happening now for an FBI agent and a CIA agent.

The show will be a 'planted' spinoff, meaning the characters will appear in an upcoming episode of FBI spring 2025, and if CBS gives it a series order, FBI: CIA will debut during the 2025 / 2026 season. Nothing has been approved yet, as far as the series pickup goes, and CBS could be waiting for who will be cast and reaction / ratings to the episode that will feature the FBI and CIA agents, along with a third character.

FBI & FBI: Most Wanted's Fates Are Massively Concerning After Disappointing Updates
Image
Both FBI and FBI: Most Wanted are reducing episode guarantees for main cast members, impacting future seasons' characters and stories. The reduction in cast members' roles is a cost-saving tactic by CBS, but it may compromise the quality of the FBI franchise's narratives. Unlike the main series, FBI: International remains unaffected by the changes, as its lower production costs allow for continuity in filming outside the U.S.

Created by Law & Order's Dick Wolf and Craig Turk, FBI and FBI: Most Wanted have been two of CBS' flagship crime dramas since the former debuted in 2018. With six seasons to its name, FBI shows no signs of slowing down. Its spin-off, the five-season FBI: Most Wanted, has also become incredibly popular. Still, that doesn't mean that CBS' FBI franchise is immune to the ups and downs of Hollywood. For example, in the wake of the dual SAG-AFTRA and WGA...
