How do you look back on your directorial debut?

I’m extremely thankful for all the love the audience has given to Sanam Re. The film struck a chord with the audience, and we had a great response at the theatres and over the years, I think people have really watched it on satellite.

So you are pleased enough to plan a sequel?

I have gotten a lot of response, people coming to me telling me to make Sanam Re 2 and they have loved the film and even say things like that they felt so cool watching it. It was such a film because the film was shot entirely in the snow, so they felt really cold watching the film, and they felt as if they themselves were there.

Releasing in 2014, Yaariyan starring Himansh Kohli, Rakul Preet Singh, Evelyn Sharma and Nicole Faria, was Divya Khosla‘s debut film as a director. Talking with Subhash K Jha, she looks back at the making of the hit film.

You made your directorial debut with Yaariyan eleven years ago?

Gosh, how time flies! Yaariyan was my debut film as a director and it holds a special place in my heart and for the casting, I did not hire a casting director but conducted auditions myself all over the world and believe me it was not easy.

It was very difficult because I was not getting the right faces and it took me almost one and a half year to do the casting because there were so many newcomers in it and I was getting auditions from London of actors, models from US, Canada, all over India,...

Would you describe 2024 as fulfilling?

I really want to thank God for the year that went by and I actually thank God for each and every minute, every single day that follows and for the life that he’s given me.

What was the highlight of 2024?

I think the highlight of the year career-wise was definitely my film Savi getting so much acclaim and so much of praise from the audience and everyone appreciating my performance. So, I’m very, very thankful for that.

What is in store for 2025?

I was shooting throughout December in Lucknow and I’m back in Bombay but abhi thode din ka …like 9-10 din ka round schedule baaki hai. Toh wohi start ho raha hai shoot abhi. So abhi the film is...

Chandigarh’s dynamic dancing group ‘N House Crew’, which is a contestant in the talent reality show ‘India’s Got Talent’ season 10, have received a call letter from ‘America’s Got Talent’ for the TV audition round. ‘America’s Got Talent’ (AGT) is an American talent show competition, and is a part of the global Got Talent franchise created by Simon Cowell.

Theprogramme is produced by Fremantle USA, and Syco Entertainment, and attracts a variety of participants from across the US and abroad, who possess some form of talents.

Acts range from singing, dancing, comedy, magic, stunts, etc. Each participant or act which auditions, attempts to secure a place in the live episodes of a season, by impressing a panel of judges.

Salman Khan joined his step-mother Helen, brother Arbaaz Khan and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to visit the Ganpati Visarjan celebrations at his sister Arpita Khan Sharma’s residence on Wednesday evening.

Shinde and Salman were seen arriving at the same time at the Sharma residence and they posed for the paparazzi together while exchanging pleasantries with each other.

Salman came wearing a blue shirt paired with black pants, even as Shinde stuck to his regulation white shirt and white pants. Helen was seen wearing a traditional suit.

Actress-producer Divya Khosla Kumar donned a 15kg lehenga for the recently released song ‘Saure Ghar’ from her upcoming film ‘Yaariyan 2’. In the song, Divya plays a bride. The actress pulled off the heavy lehenga, along with high heels as well as heavy jewellery while shooting the song in hilly regions which makes it much more difficult and challenging to carry.

The shoot also involved consecutive night shoots making the schedule an exhausting one. However, Divya did it all without breaking a sweat and literally left everyone on set very impressed.

Bollywood actress and director, Divya Khosla Kumar has recently suffered an injury while filming for her upcoming project.

Divya crashed into an iron grill leaving one cheekbone severely bruised.

The actress, who is currently in the UK, was, however, determined to push through and complete her work.
