Joi McMillon, her co nominee Nat Sanders, director Barry Jenkins, cinematographer James Laxton, and producer Adele Romanski went to the same film school at Florida State University. They all still remain close friends to this day and now they each are nominated for an Academy Award for the film Moonlight.
