Warning: contains spoilers for X-Men #9Marvel Comics has been teasing the mysterious "Inmate X" identity for months now, with most fans assuming that the mutant prisoner would be none other than former X-Men leader Charles Xavier. However, X-Men #9 has finally revealed that Inmate X is not Xavier, launching a whole new set of fan theories on whom it could be, with this bewildering mutant most likely playing a major role in an upcoming X-Men story.
The mystery of Inmate X was deepened when, in X-Men #9, Xavier used his powers to control Psylocke, manipulating her and Nightcrawler into freeing him from Graymalkin Prison, after which he reveals that he is in fact not Inmate X.
X-Men #9, from writer Jed MacKay and artist Federico Vicentini, sees Juggernaut readying himself to break out Inmate X from Graymalkin - a mutant prison run by Dr. Corina Ellis with the help...

The cast of Abigail elevates the movie's unique hybrid of a heist film and a horror movie, with strong performances from the ensemble. Abigail focuses on a group of criminals and killers who find themselves tasked with kidnapping the daughter of a powerful and wealthy man. While they're initially scared of repercussions coming from the hands of her father, the group soon realizes the full extent of the danger they're in when they realize that the young Abigail isn't what she seems.
Abigail is an impressive critical success with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 83%, and despite its lukewarm box office, Abigail's streaming success has given it new life. The gory horror film is a great blend of horror, comedy, and action, all building to one of the bloodiest (and most satisfying) climaxes of the year so far. Bolstering it all is a cast of seasoned pros and younger faces, including horror stars like Melissa Barrera.

The disgraced founder of the X-Men, Professor Charles Francis Xavier, was introduced as a wise and beloved mentor to the original five X-Men, but over the years he has experienced a profound fall from grace. From being considered a terrible father to his son Legion, to secretly getting a team of young mutants murdered, Xavier has a whole slew of sins inside him. Now considered a monstrous villain, by both humanity and mutantkind, Xavier's time as de facto leader of Krakoa's Quiet Council led to the Professor's final fall, a place he might never recover from.
In a secret attempt to defeat Orchis and Enigma, Xavier "betrayed" the X-Men by siding with Orchis and murdering a number of humans, and act that horrified humanity as well as his mutant students. This was later revealed to be a fake out crafted by Charles himself to keep his precious X-Men safe,...

In the wake of Alien: Romulus comes the Hulu series “Alien: Earth” next year, which is set before the events of all previous movies and brings the franchise to Earth for the first time.
If it’s taking place on Earth… before the original Alien… does that mean “Alien: Earth” won’t actually feature any Xenomorphs at all? That’s been the speculation/worry from many fans these past several months, but creator Noah Hawley (“Legion”) is here to debunk the rumors.
Chatting with Deadline on the Emmys red carpet last night, Noah Hawley has made it crystal clear that were will be at least one Xenomorph featured in next year’s “Alien: Earth.”
He explains, “There’s something about seeing a Xenomorph in the wilds of Earth with your own eyes that is truly chilling… to think of it moving here among us. And so I can’t tell...

The first season of AMC's acclaimed horror anthology series, The Terror, is making waves on Netflix. According to ReelGood, The Terror landed in the tenth spot among the top shows across all streaming platforms for the week of August 22 through 28. Netflix (which holds the most subscribers of any streaming service) is introducing the series to wider audiences, which is being discovered, or rediscovered in some cases, six years after its original premiere. It's all in good timing, too, as The Terror was greenlit for a third season in February.
The Terror arrived on Netflix in August after a deal between the streamer and AMC. That deal also saw several other popular AMC shows, including the critically lauded Interview with the Vampire and Dark Winds, make their debut on the streaming platform.

Who Tf Did I Marry? is coming to a TV station near you.
Actor, writer, and producer Natasha Rothwell is helming an adaptation of the viral TikTok series, which racked up 400 million views over the month following its Valentine’s Day release. Creator Reesa Teesa (real name Tareasa Johnson) used more than 50 TikToks to tell the story of her manipulative ex-husband, to whom she gave the nickname Legion. Johnson’s tale struck a chord, especially with the older TikTok users who are sometimes overlooked amid the scramble for Gen Z engagement.
Rothwell, who readers may recognize from her appearances in shows like Insecure and The White Lotus, is betting that Who Tf Did I Marry? will connect with its target audience on TV screens. After what Variety described as a “competitive bidding war,” the adaptation got the green light from ABC Signature, which had previously signed an overall deal with Rothwell’s Big Hattie Productions.

Deadpool & Wolverine just introduced the MCU’s very first Omega-Level mutant.
For those that don’t know, an Omega-Level Mutant is the strongest class of mutant that exists. More recently, in the comics, this has been defined as those with the X-Gene who have no ceiling to how strong their abilities can get.
To date, only a handful of Omega Mutants have ever shown up in any live-action project: Jean Gray, Iceman, Magneto, Storm, and Legion.

On June 11, “America’s Got Talent” season 19 continued with the third installment of audition episodes. In this initial stage of the competition, each judge is given two “golden buzzer” decisions to make where they can send an act straight through to the live shows. During “Auditions 3,” Sofia Vergara differed from the other judges because the Malambo dance of Legion was not new to her as a South American, but still they were “spectacular” enough to earn her top prize. Watch the full performance in the video above.
The men of Legion explained to the judges that they are an Argentinian Malambo company that rehearses their dance routines extracurricularly to their “real jobs.” With the money should they win, they told Simon Cowell they want their own studio because they’ve been preparing in the backyard of a members’ parents backyard. Legion offers a unique take on the X-Men universe with a focus on social exclusion and complex character development. The show's surrealist adventure, mind-bending scenarios, and well-rounded villains set it apart from other X-Men classics. Legion's narrative explores themes of alienation and loneliness, delivering a tribute to the X-Men without direct references.
With X-Men '97 out now, the Marvel cult classic X-Men: The Animated Series finds a new life. Still, despite the cartoon’s revered status, it was the live-action venture Legion that challenged the notions of storytelling within the X-Men mythos but went largely under the radar. Out of all the X-Men animated shows so far, the 90s-era series and X-Men: Evolution have best endured as fan favorites. The history of X-Men live-action shows is more tumultuous, with the earliest examples being the 1996 TV pilot Generation X and the 2000s-era unlicensed series Mutant X, was abruptly canceled after two seasons.
