The Apple TV+ original movie F1 is finally approaching the starting line. After years of hype—teasers, trailers, and spotting Brad Pitt and Damson Idris at real F1 weekends, fans are buzzing with excitement like a V12 engine on full throttle.
To maintain momentum, distributor Warner Bros. recently released the main trailer, and reactions have been mixed. The film is executive produced by seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton, who has been hands-on in making sure the movie captures the authenticity of the sport, and that effort definitely shows.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the visionary behind Top Gun: Maverick, the film boasts stunning cinematography and a commitment to realism. Still, despite all the right ingredients, social media—especially X (formerly Twitter)—has been flooded with divided opinions about the trailer’s tone, dialogue, and overall vibe.

An official Nintendo video shows Zelda from The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom facing a puzzling situation and solving it as only she can. Echoes of Wisdom puts the titular princess in the leading role of her own game, after more than 38 long years of Link stealing the spotlight. The title introduces some unique gameplay elements that give Zelda the ability to solve problems in very creative ways.
The adorable short video from Nintendo of America on YouTube shows Zelda using her special creative powers to solve a particularly tricky puzzle. The video emphasizes a uniquely EoW method of problem-solving, which uses Zelda's Tri Rod to create temporary copies of certain objects. These copies can be used to travel across the land, battle monsters, or, as in this case, get to treasure chests in hard-to-reach places.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom made some big changes to Nintendo's popular franchise but it almost went even further by breaking one of the series' oldest rules. The reveal that players would finally have an opportunity to step into the role of Zelda rather than Link was enough of a surprise to shake up the status quo but the lack of a speaking protagonist left the development team with some problems. While Zelda is known to speak, the series has never had a talking hero.
Speaking to Famitsu, series producer Eiji Aonuma explained that Zelda no longer speaking pushed the developer to consider giving Link a voice, breaking one of the longest-standing rules of the Legend of Zelda: Link doesn't speak. While the Hyrulian Hero may have spoken during early builds of the game, Aonuma admits that it was ultimately scrapped because the team couldn't figure out what he'd actually say.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is one of the easiest Zelda games to break, and one simple technique makes it possible to skip almost all of a major dungeon without much trouble at all. Building on the ideas of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, which encourage thinking outside the box when it comes to puzzles, Echoes of Wisdom gives Zelda a robust set of echoes that can make it easy to circumvent challenges.
Even so, the structure of Echoes of Wisdom is more rigid than its immediate predecessors, and dungeons are typically completed in the room-by-room fashion that's defined the franchise for decades. Although echoes can trivialize puzzles, gaps, and enemies, they can't often get Zelda to a key well ahead of schedule. More and more major skips will undoubtedly be discovered over time by skilled speedrunners, but the Jabul Ruins dungeon in particular...

Nightmare Soup, the children’s horror anthology novel series written by Jake Tri and illustrated by Andy Sciazko that’s currently being adapted into the Bloody FM podcast of the same name, is releasing the ultimate feast – a deluxe hardcover collection.
“As quintessential ’90s kids, Andy and I loved books like Goosebumps, Bruce Coville’s Book of Nightmares, and especially Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark. And since it had been 25 years (at the time) since a new Scary Stories book had come out, we figured we’d try and do it ourselves,” Tri and Sciazko say on their Kickstarter for the new collection.
The first novel, Nightmare Soup: Tales That Will Turn Your Stomach, released in 2016 with 30 short stories and 30 illustrations, followed by Nightmare Soup II: The Second Helping in 2017, and Nightmare Soup III: Midnight Snack in 2022. Finally, the long-standing complaint that the Legend of Zelda games have never really been about Zelda’s legend can be put to bed. And that’s pretty literal in Echoes of Wisdom, considering how useful beds are across the game. Still, it’s a milestone in the nearly 40 years of this series’s history that Zelda is the hero of her own story in a mainline Legend of Zelda game, but like nearly every major female Nintendo character that isn’t Samus Aran, there are asterisks to that, even if they’re born of sincere ambition on the part of the developers.
In this game, after a short prologue where Link saves Zelda from Ganon, a rift opens in time and space, swallowing Link up in the process. After Zelda frees herself and returns to Hyrule Castle, she finds out that the rifts are spreading throughout the land. What’s more,...

While you play as Zelda in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, you gain access to a Swordfighter form that gives you many of Link's abilities. This form's power can be upgraded using Might Crystals, which you can find scattered around the map. Some of these crystals can be found in the overworld, hidden inside bushes and behind rock walls, but others are hidden deeper. To find them all, you'll need to really explore every nook and cranny.
There are 150 total Might Crystals in the game, which is more than enough to fully upgrade your Swordfighter form, and you'll even get a small reward from Lueberry once you do. You'll find many of these crystals naturally as you play, particularly from Rifts. If you don't have enough Crystals to upgrade your Swordfighter abilities, follow along to pick up any you might have missed.

Despite being a pretty major character in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Nulls identity remains somewhat of a mystery. Likely taking place on the Zelda timeline sometime before Skyward Sword, Echoes of Wisdom tells a story that, in many ways, subverts typical series tropes. This time, it's Link who's in trouble, and Zelda who has to save him with the help of the mysterious, otherworldly being Tri, and a staff that allows her to clone objects throughout the world.
[Warning: This article contains spoilers for the ending of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.]
In another subversion of the typical Zelda formula, Echoes of Wisdom doesn't feature Ganon or Vaati, but has a unique villain: the mysterious Null. While much of Null's background is explained in-game, it's easy to miss the deeper implications of its lore. But with ties to other, more arcane parts of the Zelda canon, Null is worth a deeper look.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has a lot of puzzles that require players to use echoes to overcome them. As you go through the game, you'll need to use logic and trial and error to get through the game. This can get difficult, especially as you look for the right echoes to use. However, once you've mastered the process, you can get through any situation the game throws.
You will start their adventure by being locked up by the king, who has been put under a spell. This will put you in a position to learn the basics of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and how to use the skills to solve puzzles. This can be confusing, but you'll know how to handle the rest of the game when you finally escape the jail.

There are many contentious aspects of both Totk and Botw that The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom could have borrowed, from the breakable weapons to the lack of meaningful dungeons. Naturally, there will be just as many players glad to see these features pop up as there are those who desperately don't want them to, and yet Echoes of Wisdom does borrow a couple of gameplay mechanics. Fortunately, it's most controversial choice may not be the one many expect, but it's bound to please some and annoy others.
Luckily, other parts of The Legend of Zelda's open world efforts that annoyed players have been rectified, including Echoes of Wisdom featuring revolutionary dungeons, which is a step up from the less traditional ones found in Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild. There are a lot of Might Crystals in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. These crystals are essential to upgrade your Swordfighter Form, a ghostly alter-ego resembling Link that allows Zelda to take some of her companion's combat skills. Luckily, Might Crystals are common rewards and can also be found throughout Hyrule.
When you visit Lueberry's House, you can use your Might Crystals to upgrade your sword, energy gauge, bow, or bomb. When you first unlock this mechanic, you won't have access to the bow or bomb, but the process to improve them is the same as your sword and energy. It’s kind of crazy that, despite having her name in the title, Princess Zelda has never actually been the star of her own Legend of Zelda game. Routinely relegated to the damsel in distress, even when she plays a pivotal role in the narrative, Zelda herself has only been playable a handful of times throughout the series’ 38-year history, and always in spin-offs.
It’s something of a joke in Nintendo fandom, where people intentionally misidentify the male protagonist, Link, as Zelda given that he’s actually the face of the brand.

The Legend of Zelda series has charmed millions with its fantasy worlds and heroic adventures for over 35 years. Fans were first drawn into the memorable 2D dungeon exploration games on Nes and Snes. More recently, the three-dimensional masterpieces Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom rekindled that same sense of wonder on Nintendo Switch. With The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, series developer Grezzo has crafted another tale that honors Zelda’s storied past while breaking new ground.
For the first time, players do not control valiant knight Link on his quest. Instead, Princess Zelda must rise to save her kingdom after unexpected events plunge the land into danger. With a magical staff and the power to summon ‘echoes’ gifted by her friend Tri, Zelda navigates Hyrule in highly creative ways.
She can place staircases of beds and tables to reach new heights or call monsters from echoes to aid her combat.

Nintendo and Grezzo's The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is my favorite Zelda game in eighteen years. I don't think that will be true for everyone, especially people who first started the series with Botw or Totk, but for people who missed the more linear approach, and for those players who have stuck with the series through decades, Echoes of Wisdom feels like fan service in the best way possible - and it does this without losing the creativity that made these most recent titles so popular.
I'll be honest here, Breath of the Wild nearly clicked with me, but it never really did. Unfortunately, I'm too much of a fan of the bespoke dungeons, multi-tier fetch quests, bustling towns, and item/ability progression offered by previous mainline Legend of Zelda entries for it to ever really stick. Even Tears of the Kingdom, which I loved mechanically and nostalgically,...

Visual and mechanical similarities between Ultrahand and Bind suggest possible divine origins for the abilities.
