Hell's Kitchen is known for brutal insults, wild punishments, and memorable contestants in its reality TV competition format. Season 17 brought back iconic chefs like Elise, Dana, Milly, and Barbie to compete for Head Chef at Caesars Palace. Contestants like Jennifer, Robyn, and Michelle have found success in the culinary world after their time on the show.
Hell's Kitchen brings the heat when it comes to reality TV competition shows. In over 20 seasons, there have been plenty of brutal insults by chef Gordon Ramsay ("you donkey" and "an idiot sandwich" come to mind), wild punishments like having to sort through trash, and of course, memorable contestants.
It was only a matter of time that Gordon brought some of the most iconic chefs back together for an All-Star season. Hell's Kitchen Season 17 aired in 2017, and it did not disappoint. Chefs who left a lasting impression in their season, like Elise Harris, Dana Cohen,...

Johnathan Benvenuti's success in Hell's Kitchen was attributed to his knowledge of the show's history, giving him an advantage over other chefs. Rather than trying to change themselves to please Gordon Ramsay, chefs should stay true to their passion for cooking in order to find success. Learning from Gordon Ramsay and staying true to themselves are key takeaways for every chef on Hell's Kitchen, according to Johnathan Benvenuti.

However, even though Gordon gets attention for his feuds and for the attention that is paid to his family, Hell's Kitchen ultimately is about the chefs and challenges. With that in mind, it is amazing to learn that Jonathan Benvenuti figured...

The season 22 finale of “Hell’s Kitchen” aired Thursday, January 25 on Fox, ending with Cork, Ireland’s Ryan O’Sullivan defeating Huntington Beach native Johnathan Benvenuti. Ryan won a $250,000 cash prize and the head chef position at Hell’s Kitchen Las Vegas. For Johnathan, it was a bittersweet way to end his journey with host Gordon Ramsay.
“At least it was him,” Johnathan tells Gold Derby senior editor Denton Davidson. “I got home and my daughter said, ‘Daddy, did you win?’ I won second place. I didn’t lose anything. You hear Gordon say too, ‘You didn’t lose.’ At least it was to Ryan. It was a fair-fought battle. I’m super proud with how everything turned out. I wouldn’t change a thing. It was really cool to share that moment with him.” Watch the exclusive video interview above.
