Mark Meissner

Born and raised in Brooklyn NY. My father was a Criminal Defense Atty who represented mobsters which led to my first car purchase being a used sports car previously owned by my father's long-time client, a Captain in the Genovese Family, which he had bought for his mistress. After dabbling in acting a little, and being fascinated by the TV Show Law & Order, I went to law school & ironically became an ADA in Manhattan for 7 years prosecuting mobsters & others, from arrest to sentencing including interrogating hundreds of suspects and conducting numerous trials. My father called me "The persecutor" due to my reputation for pursuing justice for victims of crime. Then, I became an Assistant Atty General in the NY Atty General's office prosecuting financial/internet crimes, and eventually starting my own law practice. For the next 3+ decades,I defended some criminal matters, but I mostly represented victims of financial fraud, obtaining reimbursement for their losses from major financial institutions, as well as representing numerous whistle-blowers. I have since semi-retired from my law practice and dove back into acting, which I love.
