Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, an English teacher suggested he try acting, so he auditioned for a small role in the play "Whatever Happened to Jacob Marley?" at Fell's Point Corner Theatre.

After high school he worked as an extra in local film and TV productions "Liberty Heights", "Something the Lord Made" and "The WIRE", and he also worked on a few local independent films before he was hired as an acting intern with the Contemporary American Theater Festival in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

While developing a professional discipline at CATF, he also earned a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications at Shepherd University, where he further honed his craft in plays produced by the theater department. And after graduation he moved to Chicago to attend the MFA Acting program at The Theatre School at DePaul University.

He landed representation before graduating from DePaul, and immediately booked two back-to-back shows at Court Theatre as well as a recurring co-star role on BOSS, playing opposite Sanaa Lathan, and a series regular role on the Onion's hit web series Sex House, all within a year of graduating.

That following year year, he booked two back-to-back shows at the world famous Steppenwolf Theatre Company, in addition to a handful of television shows and commercials.

He continues to work and live in Chicago and plans to move to Los Angeles in the Spring of 2015.
