He is a winner of the 2024 Nobel Prize in chemistry, for protein structure prediction. His co-laureates are David Baker and John Jumper. Hassabis and Jumper used artificial intelligence to predict the structure of almost all known proteins. He received a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Queens' College, University of Cambridge, and a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from University College London.
