Michael Henry Harris was born in California and raised in Georgia.
After attending the University of Georgia and Georgia State Law school, he worked in politics for several years while acting in the Apprentice company and then later the Main Stage company at Whole World Theater in Atlanta, GA.
In 2003 he moved to New York to study with Maggie Flanigan at her studio, also studying with Shane Ann Younts and the Actors Movement Studio. While at Maggie's he took a Playwrighting for Actors seminar led by Pulitzer Prize Winner Stephen Adly Guirgis which began his forays into writing for stages, screens, and prose.
In 2007, he and Angela Razzano founded InViolet Theater.
