Marianne Blicher is an award-winning Danish film director and writer known for her intimate storytelling and nuanced portrayals of marginalized voices. Her debut feature, Miss Viborg (2022), captivated audiences with its raw authenticity, emotional depth, distinctive aesthetic and subtle humor, earning accolades such as Best Nordic Feature at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Outstanding Debut Feature at the Monte-Carlo Film Festival and Best Film at Mastercard OFF CAMERA. Blicher's earlier short films, including Belinda Beautiful (2013) and Odd Job Man (2017), have been showcased at over 100 festivals, aired on major networks like VRT and DR, and are widely used in educational settings across Europe. She is also the writer behind the beloved Danish children's show Cirkus Summarum (2019) and a graduate of the renowned Danish independent film school Super16.
