Sofia Hayat is an award winning actress, who has worked both in
Hollywood and on Bollywood projects. She began her career in 2003,
where she starred in "Absolute Power", with Stephen Fry. She went on to
have roles in Footballers Wives Extra Time, Waterloo Road for the BBC,
and starred in films, Cash and Curry, The Unforgettable and Naachle
London. She also starred in BAFTA nominated film "Bollywood Carmen" for BBC3,
where she played opposite Abhay Deol and alongside Meera Syal.
In 2021, during lock-down, Sofia made a short film on her phone called, "Portals of Truth", which won three awards with three film festivals, namely Cult Movie Festival, where she won, Best Short Mobile Film Award. The film was shot and edited within a 24-hour period and explores Hayat's spiritual journey of truth, blending it with ancient Egyptian stories and Greek myths, as an ancient High Priestess and Queen cross time-lines in-order to correct the lies of the past.
For spiritual guru and former actress and nun Sofia, the film reflects another significant step on her personal journey, "being able to utilize my acting so spiritually, to reach out and share my truth with others felt freeing".
'Portals of Truth' was selected for three film festivals and won Best Short Mobile Film at the Cult Movies International Film Festival, 2022, the piece was a semi-finalist in the London Web film festival.
Sofia is a keen polo player, and writes music. She plays the piano to grade 7, and can play Mozart on her recorder.
Sofia is a spiritual person, she was born a Muslim, but became a Catholic in 2010, after studying the 2 religions together, and the world has been following her spiritual evolution into Gaia Mother Sofia, a spiritual nun. She evolved form that to become a spiritual guru to Forbes billionaires and celebrities. Sofia has published her book, "Dishonoured", with Blake publishing, and released her music album of the same name in 2009. in 2025, she released her latest book, "The Awakening of the Starseed - Reclaim your Truth and Power", A book that helps people heal and evolve into their true selves.
