On Nov. 27, 2023, Deadline reported that The Bear Season 3 would begin production in late Feb-early March 2024. Season 2 similarly began filming in Feb 2023 for a summer release. Looking at the pattern from both prior seasons, which were released on June 23, 2022, and June 22, 2023, respectively, it's looking increasingly likely that The Bear Season 3 will also be targeting a similar release date.

Joanna Merlin, original Fiddler On The Roof star and longtime Law & Order: Svu judge, has died. She was 92.

Her death was announced on the Instagram page of the New York University Tisch Graduate Acting Program, where Merlin had been on the faculty since 1998. A cause of death has not been given.
