Martha Plimpton and Mireille Enos have been officially announced as part of the cast of Brad Ingelsby’s upcoming series at HBO, a followup to his hit Mare Of Easttown.

Plimpton’s casting was revealed in the “Coming To Max in 2025” trailer released Sunday night, which also unveiled Task as the title of the show (fka Untitled Task Force Project), headlined by Mark Ruffalo. (You can watch it below)

Martha Plimpton and Mireille Enos have joined the cast of “Task,” an upcoming HBO drama series starring Mark Ruffalo.

Set in the working class suburbs outside of Philadelphia, “Task” follows Tom (Ruffalo), an FBI agent leading a task force meant to tend to a string of drug-house robberies led by an unsuspecting family man (Tom Pelphrey).

Plimpton plays Kathleen McGinty, the FBI supervisory senior resident in charge who recruits Tom to lead the task force just as she learns that she is being forced to retire, while Enos plays Tom’s wife, Susan Brandis. The pair married young, which is the reason Tom left the priesthood.

Plimpton’s credits include films like “The Goonies” (1985), “The Mosquito Coast” (1986) and “Parenthood” (1989), as well as the 2010-2014 Fox sitcom “Raising Hope.” More recently, she has appeared in the 2021 film “Mass” and the HBO series “The Regime,” which aired earlier this year. She is...

The drama from Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby has added Martha Plimpton and Mireille Enos to its already large ensemble. Mark Ruffalo heads the cast as an FBI agent leading a task force investigating a string of drug-house robberies in the Philadelphia suburbs.

Plimpton’s presence in Task was revealed Sunday in a teaser for HBO and Max’s upcoming programming. She will play Kathleen McGinty, a career FBI agent who recruits Tom (Ruffalo) to head up the task force, just as she learns that she is being forced to retire. The Raising Hope and Killing stars have been cast opposite Mark Ruffalo in Task, a limited series created by Mare of Easttown mastermind Brad Ingelsby. Premiering in 2025, the drama is “set in the working class suburbs outside of Philadelphia,” where “an FBI agent (played by Ruffalo) heads a Task Force to put an end to a string of drug-house robberies led by an unsuspecting family man,” according to the official logline.

Exclusive: HBO’s Untitled Brad Ingelsby Task Force Project (working title) has three new recurring cast members: Owen Teague (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes), Dominic Colón (Power), and Margarita Levieva (The Deuce).

Teague plays Peaches, Robbie and Cliff’s co-worker by day and henchman by night. Colón portrays Deric “Breaker,” the Vice-President of a dangerous biker gang and Jayson’s right hand. Levieva’s character is Eryn, Jayson’s tough and cunning wife.

Nonprofit Outfest is celebrating its 40th anniversary with the kickoff of its 2022 edition on July 11, when the annual Los Angeles LGBTQ+ film festival will launch with new awards, programming and a lineup of over 200 screenings.

“One of the things that I really did like is that [the festival] wasn’t in June, because I think there’s this way of thinking about queerness as if it is siloed within the space of one month,” Outfest Artistic Director Faridah Gbadamosi told TheWrap in a recent interview. “I like the idea that it exists beyond the month of June because it kind of brings this idea that our identities can’t be siloed within the space of one month.”

Netflix has now come on board with the scriptwriting initiative to offer WGA minimum script deals to two selected scribes. With five original feature films and five original pilot scripts to be chosen, the submission period for the 2022 Latinx List runs from now until September 2.
