Cherokee grew up in the small town of Erlanger, Kentucky. Cherokee first began performing in explicit hardcore movies at age 20 in 2002; she's appeared in X-rated features for such notable companies as Vivid, Metro, Mile High, Evil Angel, Wicked Pictures, and Jill Kelly Productions.
