Here's What the Cast of Degrassi: The Next Generation Is Up to Now
Nina Dobrev
The stars of Degrassi recently reunited for Drake's music video "I'm Upset," and it has us wondering what they've been up to. The series first premiered in 2001, and the stars have certainly grown up since then. While Nina Dobrev (Mia) and Shenae Grimes-Beech (Darcy) moved on to other popular TV shows following their stints on the Canadian series, others have branched out into different careers entirely. Jake Epstein (Craig) fittingly has had a handful of theater credits, while A.J. Saudin (Connor) - who got very hot, Btw - has said goodbye to acting for good to work on music. Keep scrolling to see what the rest of the cast is up to now.

These Behind-the-Scenes Pics of Drake's Degrassi-Themed Music Video Will Make You Weep
Nina Dobrev
While most of us would probably dread going to our high school reunion, Drake managed to make it look like the best idea ever when he dropped the Degrassi: Next Generation-themed music video for his new single "I'm Upset" on Wednesday. Not only did he reunite all of our favorite characters - including Nina Dobrev (Mia Jones), Lauren Collins (Paige Brooks), Shane Kippel (Gavin "Spinner" Mason), Miriam McDonald (Emma Nelson), and Ephraim Ellis (Rick Murray) - but he also brought back a hotter-than-ever A.J. Saudin, who played Connor DeLaurier on the beloved teen series.

Although some stars were left out, like Daniel Clark and Ryan Cooley (who played Sean Cameron and J.T. Yorke respectively), we can't help but reminisce about our childhood with the epic throwback video that has us deep in our feelings. Keep reading to see all of the behind-the-scenes photos the former cast mates shared from...

Miriam McDonald in Degrassi: La nouvelle génération (2001)
We Need to Talk About How Hot This Degrassi Star Got, Because Oh My Gosh!
Miriam McDonald in Degrassi: La nouvelle génération (2001)
Degrassi was one of the most beloved teen dramas in the early 2000s, which is why fans were deep in their feelings when the cast reunited for Drake's latest music video, "I'm Upset." Not only is the high-school-reunion-themed video jam-packed with nostalgic references (including the show's iconic theme song), but it also reintroduces us to our favorite characters and the actors who played them. While Emma and Manny haven't aged a day, there was one star who made us do a double take: Connor freaking DeLaurier.

Let's just say Connor, who was played by Canadian actor A.J. Saudin, had a serious glow-up. To be honest, we didn't even realize it was him until the credits rolled and showed the side by side of him and his character. Since wrapping the series in 2015, the 26-year-old, who now goes by the professional name Saudin, has put his acting days behind him and pursued a career in music.

Lauren Collins, Ryan Cooley, Jake Goldsbie, Melissa McIntyre, Christina Schmidt, Sarah Barrable-Tishauer, Shane Kippel, Miriam McDonald, Cassie Steele, and Drake in Degrassi: La nouvelle génération (2001)
Drake’s former castmates from “Degrassi: The Next Generation” had a blast reuniting for his latest video, “I’m Upset,” shot this past weekend in downtown Toronto from the Air Canada Centre, where the rap star’s beloved Raptors play basketball, in addition to the Degrassi set in north Toronto, where the long-running teen drama still films.

He released the video Wednesday night and it already has more than 2.5 million views on YouTube.

From 2001 to 2009, Drake, then known by his birth name Aubrey Graham, played Jimmy Brooks in the series, a rich kid who ends up in a wheelchair after getting shot.

He appeared in over 100 episodes, and again in “Degrassi: Minis” (2005-2007). He also released his first mixtape, “Room For Improvement,” in 2007.

For the video, directed by recent Prism Prize winner Karena Evans, Drake — inexplicably sleeping on a bed at the Raptors’ centre court at the Acc — gets a...

Adam’s friends and family end the show’s eight-episode summer run with a loving tribute to him — and in this preview clip, obtained exclusively by HollywoodLife.com, it’s clear Adam’s girlfriend Becky (Sarah Fisher) is going to have an especially rough time.

The scene below finds Becky preparing an informal memorial service for her (ex?)boyfriend, with pals Jenna (Jessica Tyler), Ali (Melinda Shankar) and Connor (Aj Saudin) by her side. ‘Degrassi’ Preview Video: Has Eli Really ‘Lost Clare For Good?’
Eli gets some unlikely relationship advice from Connor in this clip from the April 5 episode of ‘Degrassi!’

Has “Eclare” finally gone stale? Eli (Munro Chambers) sure seems to think so! He admits in defeat in this new clip from the April 5 episode of Degrassi — obtained exclusively by HollywoodLife.com — and not even a pep talk from one of his best friends is able to lift him out of his deep depression.

Sensing his buddy is down in the dumps, Connor (A.J. Saudin) attempts to lift Eli’s spirits, and when it doesn’t work out, he reveals his ulterior motive: Eli’s breakup from Clare (Aislinn Paul) is apparently screwing up Connor’s relationship with Jenna (Jessica Tyler)!

I’m not quite sure how ‘Eclare’ calling it quits is having a negative impact on Connor and Jenna, and neither does Eli; he seems super skeptical.
