Panagiotis Evangelidis is a Greek filmmaker and writer. He grew up in Athens and developed an early interest in literature and cinema, which led him to work as a writer, poet, and translator before turning to film. He has translated a wide range of works from English into Greek, including novels and poetry. In cinema, he began by collaborating with fellow director Panos H. Koutras on screenplays before directing his own films. His documentary They Glow in the Dark (2013) received international recognition and established him as a director with a distinct personal style. His later films, such as Irving Park (2019), continued his exploration of intimate human stories, often focusing on LGBTQ experiences and the lives of individuals on the margins of society.
