“Fast and Furious” director Justin Lin is set to direct Keanu Reeves in “Brzrkr” at Netflix, TheWrap has learned.
“The Batman” screenwriter Mattson Tomlin is adapting the comic book series for the screen. Reeves is set to star in and produce the live-action film based on “Brzrkr,” a Boom! Studios comic book series.
“Brzrkr” was co-written by Reeves and Matt Kindt, with illustrations by Marvel artist Ron Garney and colors by Bill Crabtree, letters by Clem Robins and character designs and covers by Rafael Grampá.
“Brzrkr” is a brutally epic saga about an immortal warrior’s 80,000-year fight through the ages. The man known only as “B” is half-mortal and half-god, cursed and compelled to violence, even at the sacrifice of his sanity. But after wandering the earth for centuries, B may have finally found a refuge — working for the U.S. government to fight the battles too violent and too dangerous for anyone else.

Back in 1987, legendary drive-in movie critic Joe Bob Briggs gathered a bunch of his reviews and newspaper columns and released them in a book called Joe Bob Goes to the Drive-In. That book has long been out of print, but now, Joe Bob has teamed up with Dark Horse Books to bring an updated and expanded edition of Joe Bob Goes to the Drive-In to store shelves on October 14th! Copies are already available for pre-order on Amazon.
The artbook-sized new edition of Joe Bob Goes to the Drive-In features cover art by Wallace McBride, new interior artwork illustrated by Mike Norton and colored by Bill Crabtree, and an introduction by Stephen King. Joe Bob told our friends at Bloody Disgusting, “I’m thrilled that someone still cares about these little pieces dashed off for a daily newspaper four decades ago and was amazed that they were reprinted in book form the first time.

Joe Bob Briggs has had a busy month with two big announcements. The legendary Joe Bob, who now hosts The Last Drive-In on Shudder has a pretty big following of “Mutants” who will be very happy to hear his latest news.
Let’s start with his popular Shudder series, which will be premiering its seventh season in March. The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs began as what was intended to be Jb’s swan song – a 24-hour marathon of classic drive-in fare that included such titles as Sleepaway Camp, Basket Case, Pieces and Tourist Trap.
So many people tuned in that Shudder, who knows a good thing when they see it, invited Jb to come back for a series. Then came another season, and another…and now we are standing at the cusp of season seven.
The format has changed somewhat over time, going from once weekly double features...

Zombie Date Night 2:
Roses are red…
Blood is too.
And the undead are even hungrier
In Zombie Date Night 2!
Ready For The Second Date?
"From the clearly rotted mind of Steve Urena comes the sequel to the critically acclaimed zombie romance comedy, Zombie Date Night!
Still recovering from the awkwardness of their first Zombie Date Night, main characters Jack and Ginger have reached the scariest place to be…the friend zone.
When their survival group realizes they’re running out of food, the enthusiastic and outgoing Ginger leads the charge with a very reluctant Jack to find sustenance before the zombaes (zombies who can only survive with a mate) eat them first. Will the second date be better than the first or will this situationship be food for the undead?
Returning for the sequel is the original team behind the first Zombie Date Night. Incredible art drawn by Sergi Domènech.

Warning: Spoilers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #4!I am certain that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is ready to undo the most controversial moment of the franchise. Anyone only familiar with the cartoons and movies probably thinks I sound dramatic, but those who have seen just how unbelievably dark the Tmnt comics can get know I'm talking about the death of Splinter. For many fans, it was genuinely blasphemous to kill Splinter.
However, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #4 by Jason Aaron, Chris Burnham, Brian Reber, and Shawn Lee gives me the impression that Splinter's inevitable return has been foreshadowed. Mind you, the foreshadowing comes through the ramblings of a madman named Donatello, whose badass rebrand has driven him crazy.
As easy as it would be to dismiss both Donatello and his ramblings in this issue, I think there is at least a method to the madness - if not from Donatello, then from the story itself.

The following contains spoilers for Invincible Season 2, Episode 6, "It's Not That Simple," which premiered Mar. 21 on Prime Video.
Not much has been seen of J.K. Simmons' Omni-Man (aka Nolan Grayson) in Invincible Season 2, Part 2. Part 1 ended with an assault on Thraxa led by General Kregg and Nolan was taken prisoner. His son Mark (aka Invincible) was also beaten and sent back to Earth to prepare for a Viltrumite invasion.
That was the job Nolan was supposed to do, until he became compromised by the love he had for his son. Episode 6, "It's Not That Simple," brings Nolan back into play in his Viltrumite captivity. While it's a brief sequence, it is...

The following contains spoilers for Invincible Season 2, Episode 4, "It's Been A While," which premiered Nov. 24 on Prime Video. This article also contains mention of suicide.
When Prime Video dropped trailers for Invincible Season 2, it seemed like there would be a lot more action than emotional, slow-burning arcs. It would've made sense considering Season 1 ended with Omni-Man fleeing the planet after nearly beating Mark to death. This meant Earth would need the Guardians of the Globe to step up in the field. However, as Mark rebounds, he takes his time jumping back into superhero duty, rather than seeking mission after mission.
Like the Guardians, he's tempering the violence he surrounds himself with, giving the season more depth than expected. This results in a much better storyline, especially since Invincible needs time to let the Nolan betrayal sink in. The mid-season finale is a perfect mix of both sides of the coin.

The following contains spoilers for Invincible Season 2, Episode 2, "In About Six Hours, I Lose My Virginity to a Fish," which premiered Nov. 10 on Prime Video.
As Season 2 of Invincible continues, Mark Grayson is doing his best to leave Omni-Man's betrayal behind. It hurts that he lost his father Nolan, but Mark has to find a way to let the people of Earth know he won't become an evil Viltrumite. It's why he's trying to do what he can help the planet the same way the Guardians of the Globe do.
Prime Video is adding a lot more layers to his journey by shifting up the story at key junctures. Invincible made changes in the first episode, and now, the second one follows suit. In the process, fans are getting a more complex narrative than the comics, not just for Mark but those around him.

Mark Grayson's Invincible suit has swiftly become a widely recognized hero costume, due to the surging popularity of the Invincible TV series, and Mark's ever-growing presence in comics featuring other fan-favorite Marvel characters, like Spider-Man. However, there's one facet of his suit that is so outlandish that not even the eternally courteous Spider-Man can resist poking fun at him.

The Marvel Universe might be brimming with iconic heroes, but as it turns out, Spider-Man's favored superhero is none other than Invincible. This selection may come as a surprise to many fans, who might have expected Iron Man, or another Avenger. Nevertheless, Mark Grayson is unique in a way no other hero is, securing his place as the beloved Webslinger's favorite superhero.

There's an old saying that dictates the importance of respecting your elders; however, it appears that this adage was lost on Invincible, who holds little regard for Superman. Despite the Man of Steel's iconic legacy, Kal-El still falls short in the eyes of Mark Grayson, all due to one simple reason – and his critique isn't inaccurate; in fact, it's hilariously true.

A cursed production? A screening of a long-lost movie goes wrong?!
